A pretty big part of why I feel a bit ripped off by Willie is at the beginning, during and after his ban, sh!t loads of WC fans went into bat for him, copped loads of stick from other clubs supporters and even some media types but still stuck up for the fella, he's re-payed that by legging it to bogan central of all places.

If that's true then I can understand why it is listed as one of many reasons the request has been made. I can see the appeal. Emotionally Junior is lost at sea, he basically gets an Uncle figure to help him in life, his wife's sister is there too. Shaun Burgoyne works for Port and lives in Adelaide. win/win for Junior and, honestly? The dude is one of the most revered players ever to play the game - if he says he'll stick his neck out to keep Junior on the straight and narrow, then you'd back him.
