I dunno, I know plenty of people who are both knobheads and racist.

Some of the first set of allegations are purely racist behaviour, some are awful behaviour with racist undertones, some are awful behaviour towards first nation peoples.

It's quite relevant as like the national anthem it's a commonly accepted part of pre-festivities.

I didn't think it was logical to cut someone's bed in half with a chainsaw, but Daniel Kerr still did it. Sometimes people do illogical things.

Well one of those examples will lead to a 7 figure payout by a billon dollar sporting competition and the other won’t. A lot of reasons to tell people a nice story in this situation

It would more have been along the lines of "you have your whole career ahead of you and dont want to be bogged down with a child this early".

The people in the report only spoke up after they were approached by Hawthorn to do so and initially refused. It wasn’t until it they were encouraged by others that they’d get their chance to be heard they agreed to share their stories.

I don’t think this was a money chasing exercise

Just why they then also spoke to a journalist is unclear but my understanding is he got wind of them being involved in the Hawthorn report and contacted them to do the story. Perhaps they were sceptical about the report being swept under the carpet or were manipulated by the journalist into thinking that would happen.

Time will tell just how accurate their version of events is

The partner of one of the players emailed then club president, Andrew Newbold, more than once explaining the situation and asking him to help at the time

Basically got a token reply that offered nothing useful

He denies having read or replied to the emails and has instead said staff at the club did on his behalf
