Yup. Haha I think Corbett is going to be talking a lot to the media. Watching that first interview he did, I could tell he's a bit of a motor mouth lol. Not that I'm complaining. It'll be good insight.Paywalled West Article;
Fremantle Dockers recruit Luke Jackson impressing as Caleb Serong and Andrew Brayshaw’s leadership stands out
‘Pretty crazy’: Action Jackson turning heads at Freo
Boom Fremantle recruit Luke Jackson’s “crazy” skills and athleticism are already turning heads at the Dockers, with the big man standing out as a forward during training on Monday.
Jackson joined the Dockers after three seasons and a premiership at Melbourne, where his ruckwork lifted him to the 2021 AFL Rising Star award and played a key role in the 2021 grand final triumph.
Fremantle are looking at new ways to build a forward line following the departure of Rory Lobb and Griffin Logue, and both Jackson and Nat Fyfe trained with the forwards group on Monday.
New forward recruit Josh Corbett said the pair had unique skills that made them stand out from the pack.
“As you would have seen at training today, some of the stuff Jackson can do is pretty crazy for a man of his height,” Corbett said.
“Sometimes he can play that small crumbing role but when he needs to stand tall, he’s definitely really impressive at doing that as well.
“Seeing Fyfe in the flesh is really impressive. His work rate and his ability to attack the contest is really impressive. I’m really looking forward to learning from those boys.”
Melbourne received pick 13 along with Fremantle’s future first and second round picks in the Jackson deal. Corbett was a much lower-profile trade, with Gold Coast receiving a future fourth-round selection.
The 26-year-old forward understands he is far from guaranteed to be in the best 22.
“I’d really love to play AFL football. That’s why I’m here to do. That’s what I want to achieve,” he said.
“I believe in my ability to play AFL football but I understand there’s no guarantees. I’m going to work my bum off to try to get in there the same as the other forwards, to get that opportunity.”
Corbett was full of praise for Fremantle’s training standards and the leadership of young stars Andrew Brayshaw and Caleb Serong.
He said the Dockers’ attitude and fitness of the squad had been one of the standout features of his start to life as a Fremantle player.
“A lot of the younger group, particularly Caleb and Andy are driving the standards here,” Corbett said.
“I think that’s a really important thing, particularly at a club like Fremantle. It doesn’t matter about age groups. It’s about who knows their role and being able able to play their role.
“There’s no egos. Everyone is able to speak up in a comfortable environment and everyone is really well respected.”
I disagree. He played some cracking games on the wing at WAFL. He took a few weeks to get the necessary running patterns but he had a run of games where he was back in defence and running along the wing and collecting over 20 possessions.Just can’t see Henry making it on a wing, not the way freo wanna play it..
Hardest type of a role,
Gotta be super fit and super competitive,
It’s a selfless role
Not one for him, not his style IMO.
If he wants to play he’s gonna have to get into that forward 6

A handy glow in the dark presence for night games.Davies really is something special. How can a Western Australian - who plays an outdoor sport professionally - be so white? It's an absolute tribute to his mum and her weekly clearing out of the 50+ section of the sunscreen aisle. Well done, Mum Davies. You've battled hard to keep those melanomas at bay.
