I know Jack Williams often has a knee strapped. Definitely a slow news dayEvidently wasn't moving too well with Shuey and Allen on light duties ....
Headline grabber maybe but might restrict J Williams for a while you would think ...
Long for FFOh you mean the GOAT Gary Ablett Snr.
One of the strongest and most powerful players ever to play.
May as well include Jason Dunstal as well. 1 cm taller than Ryan.
Well sounds like we have Darling's loss covered with Ryan according to some.
looking more like McDougall every day.
Long for FF
Not surprising a few were on light duties after a scratch match on Friday.Evidently wasn't moving too well with Shuey and Allen on light duties ....

We may never get any news about Darlings ankle, it's well known how much he hates divulging his medical details.
Rhino has the medical record, he is just scared if he reports it he will get sued again. We may never get any news about Darlings ankle, it's well known how much he hates divulging his medical details.
No current season stats available
Mark Duffield also finding it hard to put together much of interest from todays session
FWIW, I did cross paths briefly with Petruccelle and asked how his ankle was going and he replied “It’s getting there” without much hint of a concern. Maybe not the Port match, but I think he’ll be good for the Adelaide game
There was as much intrigue about the action off the training field as on it as the Eagles went through their paces in a light skills session at Mineral Resources Park on Monday morning.
Skipper/trump card on light duties: It is expected to be a regular thing at Eagles sessions this year to see Luke Shuey training away from the main group and he walked/jogged laps during Monday morning’s session as he had the previous week. It was more intriguing to see forward Oscar Allen with him, especially with the ankle injury suffered by fellow forward Jack Darling in match simulation last Friday. Allen had kicked four goals in that match simulation and looked cherry ripe for a return to AFL football after a year on the sidelines.
The third member of Shuey’s group was young forward/ruck Jack Williams who also spent some time away from the main group last week before playing impressively in match simulation on Friday when he kicked two goals.
Petrevski-Seton moving forward: It is becoming clearer as this pre-season progresses that the role planned for Sam Petrevski-Seton is as a small forward. The 24-year-old has played 108 games since being drafted by Carlton at pick six in the 2016 national draft. He played 94 for the Blues and 14 last season for the Eagles in a variety of roles.
He has never nailed down a permanent position at either club but has been tried as a forward in match simulation and when the squad split into groups to do specific drills on Monday morning he went with the small forward. It’s early days for Petrevski-Seton in his latest role but West Coast are encouraged by what they have seen so far.
Edwards/Petruccelle still in rehab group:Luke Edwards (quad) and Jack Petrucelle (ankle) trained on MRP’s second oval again as the pair try to build their workloads in time to be back in the frame for pre-season matches. The Eagles were hoping that Petruccelle would be available to tackle at least one of the South Australian clubs in practice matches in the next two weeks but he would need to progress quickly from the running drills he was doing Monday morning.
Liam Duggan, who played the first period of match simulation on Friday after off-season knee surgery, also joined the pair for a while after doing the warm up with the main group.
One eye on the Super Bowl: West Coast didn’t stop training to watch the Super Bowl but they did allow their players to keep one eye on it by having the game live on the electronic scoreboard at MRP. The training session finished just before Kansas City hit the front inside the last minute and the players went inside to watch the end.
The spectators who had attended the open skills session weren’t so lucky with the scoreboard shut down immediately triggering a scramble for mobile phones.
West Coast has sought further assessment of Jack Darling’s injured left ankle, raising concerns that he has suffered a significant setback with the potential to sideline him in the opening rounds of 2023.
Darling was originally sent for scans on Friday after his ankle was trapped underneath his body in a Jeremy McGovern tackle late in a session of intense match simulation. A club source said yesterday the Eagles had asked for further tests to gauge the severity of the injury.
Darling threw his head back in pain even as the ankle got caught under him in an otherwise routine tackle. He had to be helped to his feet and from the ground by two trainers after feeling for a spot high on the ankle.
The 30-year-old has kicked 484 goals across 12 seasons and 257 games for the Eagles.
The club had hoped that his partnership with Oscar Allen, who returns from a season missed through injury, would cover the loss of retired champion Josh Kennedy. Allen and Darling kicked seven goals between them on Friday before he was injured.
The silence is deafening with Darling, so I'm going to assume the worst. The silver lining is that this gives Allen his chance to step up to the big time. Darling lead our forward line in 2012 (when several years younger than Allen), so now it's his time to shine. This bit re Darling has since been added to the article. Still holding out hope for a relatively mild diagnosis but we surely wouldn’t be seeking further testing if this was a simple ankle injury. This bit re Darling has since been added to the article. Darling having further tests on his ankle
