Well it's game on. Only a cancelled flight can stand in my way!! Interesting getting tickets. Level one seemed to have only the back row available. Level 2 had massive sections unavailable and others offering the very back row only. Be interesting to see what the crowd is like. It's either going to be decent or There are going to be sections filled to the back while others sit empty.
Weird, but its the first game of the year so neither teams fans have had their enthusiasm shattered yet.

The Newcastle bypass has Federal and State Govt land and planning approval.

By-passing Hexham, but not Heatherbray... which means there will still be an 80 stretch through Heatherbray. :( No idea why!

So everyone can still stop at Heatherbrae's Pies of course!

There isn't much I ever disagreed with on your posts Jewels, but we've found our uncommon ground with Heatherbrae's Pies.;)

I don't do that trip very often, but chanced on a good pie at the bakery in Buladelah a few years ago.

However, we are getting into dangerous toastie territory here.

My side for this week. Seems pretty much the consensus and not really any surprises there.

I don’t really buy into the GC ‘bogey side’ at all compared to others, but I think regardless that this is a tricky first up assignment. Suns are becoming a good side at home and usually start the season well.

I think we may just do enough to get the 4 points though. Swans by 1-2 goals.

Most likely that exact 26 will travel.
Possibly McLean as sub for ruck danger. Many disagree but I would do it balancing risk. Don't debut McAndrew as a sub.
Francis because Gould is not 100%.

Oh I totally agree Scott, Heatherbrae's Pies are 🤮, but it's the only thing I could think of in Heatherbrae!

They lost to the Bombers, then got flogged by the Giants in pre-season, neither team will be any good this year. They started 2-5 last year, with an opening win against the Eagles. They won 5-4 at Metricon last year, so they are at least in the positive, but that included a 3 point win over the Eagles, and a 2 point win over the Tigers (who lost to the Kangaroos the week after).

I think a pass mark is a 30-40 point win.

Heh Membling thread title says game is 7pm. AEDT, but I think it is actually 7pm AEST (bris), 8pm (syd)

cos AEDT fades the curtains and confuses the cows in QLD.
8pm AEDT (NSW, Vic, ACT, Tas)
7:30pm ACDT (SA)
7pm AEST (QLD) LOCAL
6:30pm ACST (NT)
5pm AWST (WA)

Good times.
