I know people talk about the contract, but honestly, if that is going to be representative of the season, he will be gone. They will cop the (massive) financial hit. There is no way that after all the public commentary about improvement etc. the higher ups will accept that level of “performance” across a whole season again.

But otherwise in the interim, so glad we have Hurn, Gaff, Cripps etc to set the standards for the young guys and to ensure that they do not have their careers ruined by experiencing a losing culture.

Outside of that, a repetition of the last 4 years. Poor at the hardball, outnumbered at the coal face, flogged on the spread from a contest.

Expected more fire in the belly from the boys, being round 1.

But surely 14-16 possession Duggan in the MId can't be worse than what we have. If you asked me whether it was acceptable for a mid to only get 16-17 possession I would have laughed. But now I swear we need dire need of grunt and class and speed

Hunt is the only one with pace in the back half. Duggan is average. Hurn, Witho, Gov and Barrass are slow. The skill mix is wrong. We're going to keep getting cracked open by quick ball movement.
