We moved the ball at snails pace and our skills were average. How can we give our forwardline a chance if we move the ball slow enough for them to flood the backline? Loss is on JLO. Wtf were we practicing in the preseason??

Totally agree - he covered a lot of ground today, and shouldn't be the whipping boy when there were so many passengers

Absolute bullshit. Skills were deplorable. No connection between mids and forwards. No forward structure. No campaignering forward could hold a ****ing mark. Missing easy goals as usual. Mids got smashed when they should have absolutely dicked the **** out of their midfield. Moving the ball way too slow. Too many hand passes.

One has to question what the **** they have done over pre-season.


But, it is only round 1 and it throws up some weird results. I'm not going to fully lose my shit unless this is a continual problem going forward.

Saints at Docklands has always been a tough game. Even in the halcyon days of 2012-2015 when we were at our peak. We struggled.

Round 1 rustiness was to be expected even though it's not a excuse.

5 goals in 4 quarters we got 2 other gifts from 50m penalties.

And if you want to get technical 4 out of 7 goals we're from free kicks.

Be nice to have a home game in round 1 once in a while. Convenient the VFL don't let a Victorian team travel in round again.

Onto to North at our home patch we will be 100 times better. I recall a horrible saints loss last year parachuted a 7 game winning streak that set up our season last year.
