No Lobb, same gameplan.
Forward line is still a sh.t sandwich.
Midfield slow, and vanilla.
No proper wingers, we have some hard nuts playing wafl, but good Zen.

Our midfield weren't competitive. If the media speak during the week isn't the likes of Caleb Serong accepting responsibility for the midfield failings I will be disappointed.

They need to turn that around.

Absolute bullshit. Skills were deplorable. No connection between mids and forwards. No forward structure. No campaignering forward could hold a ****ing mark. Missing easy goals as usual. Mids got smashed when they should have absolutely dicked the **** out of their midfield. Moving the ball way too slow. Too many hand passes.

One has to question what the **** they have done over pre-season.

But, it is only round 1 and it throws up some weird results. I'm not going to fully lose my shit unless this is a continual problem going forward.

Looks like we left this one at home.

Would be good if someone could actually take a catch. Maybe include cricket in the off season programme? Well played Saints, typical Ross. Effort. 100% win win based on effort against an on-paper better team. Kick our guys in the goolies.

I am not going to panic

Saints at Docklands has always been a tough game. Even in the halcyon days of 2012-2015 when we were at our peak. We struggled.

Round 1 rustiness was to be expected even though it's not a excuse.

5 goals in 4 quarters we got 2 other gifts from 50m penalties.

And if you want to get technical 4 out of 7 goals we're from free kicks.

Be nice to have a home game in round 1 once in a while. Convenient the VFL don't let a Victorian team travel in round again.

Onto to North at our home patch we will be 100 times better. I recall a horrible saints loss last year parachuted a 7 game winning streak that set up our season last year.

Melbourne must be celebrating today, genuine shot at a top 10 pick all of a sudden
:padlock:
Well that was ******* s**t. Anyone that thinks we’re a chance to kick enough goals to win a premiership with that forward line has rocks in their head.
The personnel could do it if the ball movement was better than WAFL mid table level.

Its not the result, its the method. It just won't work.
