An extra benefit of drafting Smith is it half covers LB. They can run more 5 man front (Reddick, Cox, Davis, Sweat, Smith) and have either Reddick or Smith drop back in to coverage when required .. and if not required then full send all 3 DE's and watch the QB panic

Really looking forward to seeing Dean taking control out there, teammates at Georgia all say he was the dominant alpha.

Swift is biggest tease at rb in the league. He shows flashes but stuggles to consistently find running lanes goes away from holes a lot of the time one of reasons why he fell out of favour in Detroit then their is the fact he misses 4 games a season injured and carries injuries during half the time he plays. I think penny has a better shot at being a key contributor for the eagles. There is a reason only cost a 4th and a swap of 7th’s. Plus free agent at end of year. Worth a punt but I wouldn’t expect much.

Swift has never rushed for more than 617 yards in a season.

So Ringo had a 2nd round grade on him, but he has had issues in man coverage and had some knee problems at the combine. But I've seen two takes that the Eagles might move him to safety and that could be a better position for him. So potentially Brown is the strong safety and Ringo is the free safety/nickel corner behind Maddox

In 2022, Ty Zentner averaged 44.5 yards per punt, and a net average of 41.9. As a kicker, he made all 42 of his kicks (11 field goals, 31 PATs), including a clutch game-winning field goal right down the middle in the Big 12 Championship Game.

The kid declared for the draft even though EVERYONE told him not to as he isn't ready. Before last season Mel Kiper had him as his #3 CB for this seasons draft .... #2 was Kelee Ringo. Unlikely he would contribute this year, but could be a plus down the track.

Team that doesn't need much from a player shouldn't expect massive contribution. Consider my balloon popped.

TBH, after his playoffs performance I'd be perfectly fine with Gainwell starting this year. These guys are switches of pace / depth. Swift adds a receiving ability that we lacked.

5 Primetime games & only 3 1pm starts, makes for easy viewing. It's a reasonably tough 2nd half of a season though, that 3 game run bookended by Dallas & then Seahawks who we've struggled against for yonks. That 1 seed will take some doing, cant wait.
