I'm actually embarrassed for the AFL here. That's quite possibly the worst decision I've seen in this sport and could have major implications here on in. Simply have to appeal it. The kid has done everything we ask our players to do. Contest the ball. It's the fabric of our game. Got him high, wasn't malice, was a free kick. Players gonna pull out of contests left right and centre now. What does this do to a player like JVR who is a contested animal? The game is lost

I know he wasn't, poor phrasing on my part. I meant that I think from memory the issue with the Trengove tackle was that Dangerfield was concussed, but it doesn't even need to be that any more, can simply be a bad look for the game as is the JVR case.

I honestly thought the same thing 2 days ago but look where we are at. The AFL.are spooked by head hits. If the guy doesn't end up on a stretcher then it'd be a free kick and we move on.
