Seems not to have got good people around him by and large, who are riding the Simmons gravy train for whatever it's worth. The guy is only 26. He could still have a decade of balling at a high level if he can get his body (and more importantly his head) right.

Had to leave the hut at 6.30 this morning but so worth it - got to Balingup in time to enjoy the pie shop. Chicken and leek one is amazing.

Sadly heading out again Sunday before the Eagles start - seems like I’m avoiding the games pretty skilfully. Have we folded yet?

Haven’t come across that news reader or whoever she is yet but I’ll keep my eyes peeled.

Just got off the phone to my son

The name at the top of this - Monta - is a US based recording label founded by the headline act, Boombox Cartel

Earlier this year that record label arranged for my son to record and release an EP with them that comes out in mid June

Earlier this week they asked him if he’d be interested in going to LA to attend this event to meet them and some of the other artists

Today he’s got time off work and flights sorted to go

Through the wonder of the internet he knows a couple of people in LA, and has accommodation sorted with one of them in a top floor apartment

He’ll also get to play 2 or 3 of his own songs after the headline act as they want to feature some of their artists on the label

They’re arranging for him to get some time with other industry people whilst he’s over there plus he has some of his own contacts

It’s still a pretty niche music genre he’s involved in but he’s making some strides in it
