Given the AFL are penalising every sling tackle, this was probably the right result. Unfortunate that the way Brocky came up to him to tackle, the swing result was inevitable.

I tend to agree with you.

The technique (sling tackle) was not good and can see afl penalizing him for that alone.

Having said that, the freo player got up straight away, and it didn’t look like a ‘dump tackle’. No remonstration by opposition too.

I mean he didn't exactly drive through the sling, and landed him as gently as anyone could have.

Technically worth a week, but he did everything but put a mattress down for him once he realized he was slinging him.

Frustrating time for him to get suspended- would like to point out to those not watching on the social media, Brocky has been posting more content recently of him with his kids out and about in public.
He's looking quite settled in Melb and he's genuinely a wholesome watch at the moment.

Brockman was tremendous today. You can tell he's got that natural instinct for the game. That play, where he just ran down the spine of the ground and delivered it to Lewis, was pulchritudinous. And his first goal was the perfect illustration of his talents. He came in from the side at speed, danced around the defenders, and snapped truly. Who needs Izak Rankine
