As Topiary has mentioned a couple of times, I'd like to see McCabe trialled as CHF.

HF: .........McCabe...........
FF: ..........Scaife....Rambo

I know there's a bunch of reasons it'll not line up as above (at least this Season), but I'd love to give it a run & see how the boys compete.

I’ll just be happy to see him play a game on brown and gold 😁

We bumped on Will at the coffeeshop during one of the training break last week, he mentioned he will start in Defense but later on his career he doesn't mind kicking goals.

McCabe will become the centrepiece of our defence.

He’s great when the ball is in the air or ground, excellent skills, defends like a madman, and provides lots of rebound.

A fully developed McCabe is not priced in yet. He will push us into contention in the latter half of 2026.
Yeah he’s definitely a defender, as much as he’s capable forward.

Defensively strong, superb aerially, run and dash and good user.

CHB is his and you can run with Sicily/Scrim more third talls and maybe one of Phillips/Blanck the other key post. Denver could come into this as a third tall or CHB. Weddle moves afield.

2026?

The rate at which we're improving, it'll be disappointing if we don't contend in 2025, even with a not-fully-developed McCabe.

I hope Will and Calsher develop into two parts of a formidable spine together, like Riewoldt and Rance at the Tiges. I think they could. It's such a huge advantage to have two promising young KPPs challenging each other at training.
