Your son is almost old enough to ask "Dad, why did you call me Dusty Dimma?"
My daughter was born the day before the 2019 flag. I held her while my wife slept and watched the game from the hospital bed. All three flags were such incredible experiences but that one had the most sentimental value. 2017 was like a dream and 2020 was like an epic movie trilogy ending.

Genuine question as I've been travelling home today so haven't seen the press conference yet.

Was Tom Morris there to ask questions? How did that all unfold?

From the images I've seen Dimma looked like a weight off his shoulders so hopefully he was chill with it all

Fantastic tribute by JR to Dimma on 360

The best bit was at different times during his career When Jack was struggling Dimma would invite him to his house and over 3 beers work out a solution.

How easy would it be to work out most of life’s problems if you just did that

I'll forever be grateful to Dimma for his role in dragging the Tigers out of the cellar and into the top 8. To see 3 premierships was just amazing, something I never thought would happen as a kid going through primary school and high school in the 2000s and early to mid 2010s. All the jokes about 'ninthmond' evaporated overnight after 2017 and I must admit I don't miss hearing that bloody joke. Maybe we're due for a slide or maybe we're not, but I feel privileged to have watched this team play under the longest serving coach in the long history of our proud club. Dimma has earnt a break and I wish him all the best in the next chapter of his life.

Great Coach.
Shame to see him go.
The game will be poorer for his leaving but he went left under his own steam and of his own choice which is rarely the case with coaches.
Respect.

Nank, Balta, Baker, Bolton, Rioli, TT, Hopper, Short, Graham and possibly Ross - this is currently our 'core' which will lead the next generation of Richmond.

gibcus and cumberland you could possibly make a case for ending up as A graders, but imo it's a stretch. I have zero faith in Ryan making it, I'm not sure what people see in him. Doubt he even becomes as good as Vickery.

Vlaus, Martin, broad, Lynch, Prestia are all entering the twilight of their careers and/or injury prone. I'm worried about will happen to Dusty as well after this.

The rest of our list is, at this point fodder/highly unlikely to make it. We have no first rounder this year and Tassie is on the horizon. We must absolutely nail every pick from 2024-2026. If we don't, then I don't see us anywhere near it for the next 10 years at least.

Unfortunately, I agree with most of this (disagree on Ryan). Once our veterans retire, it’s a very vanilla list and it’s hard to see much coming through. The players just seem to have too many flaws, such as poor kicking and a lack of creativity, and we don’t know how much a new coach can do about that. We maybe also have gotten into a habit of not working hard enough because whenever we run now, whoever has the football doesn’t seem to have good options or sufficient skill to do anything good with it.

Worst case scenario. If any of this is true there’s going to be a rude shock

Yea dimma looked fairly relieved was jovial , emotional for a bit when talking about his players

Just watched 360 & teared up a bit! Memories flooding back what a journey. I was lucky enough to watch 2017 at the Punt Rd end with a bloke who played a lot of footy at another club & loved the Tigers growing up! Got blind & had the best day ever & ran amok! The Tiger blood runs strong in many current & ex AFL players! Wish you all the best Dimma & all the Tiger men you coached! ****en good times🏆🏆🏆👌🍻
