Wrong question being asked as usual.
Yes we are good. But are we THE BEST?
Its because Butters is gooder now than anybody has ever gooded before. He's gooding all over the shopwhen you think about it...
we've won 9 in a row, second on the ladder..
while basically having no ruck or the worst ruck in the comp, injuries to all 3 of who you'd think were our primary key forwards, and a captain who is barely good enough to get a game in the SANFL, while getting utterly screwed by the umpires.
it makes no sense, is everyone else just really bad?
what if we're good?
So we've come to the conclusion we are good.
But that's only have the question.
Are we good now, in the future, or in the past? Or are we an infinite good, radiating out in all directions from the glorious reckoning of Our (Ollie) Lord.
We've got a long way to go before we can be great. Is it too late to win 3 flags in 5 years?
I expect that some serious player management and recharging is going to take place from here as we build for the finals campaign.
Dixon obviously needs an extended break and Lycett will be getting a few games to rest those aching shoulders and knees. There are others out there who are carrying injuries that we don't know about as well.
This will probably mean we are going to drop a couple of games post-bye that might upset the nervous nellies. But think of it as a chance to give those on the edge of being in the 22 regularly a couple more games to prove their worth for finals and match ready if they are called upon in case of injuries.
