Totally wrong. Batsman these days bat outside the crease to negotiate any swing so keepers are looking for a stumping chance. This is what Bairstow clearly was doing when he was keeping against Labuschagne. That happens alot. The Bairstow incident clearly shows he was about 2 or more metres down the pitch walking to talk to his fellow batsmen at the end of an over. Totally different scenario. Then to make it worse the Aussies had a chance to withdraw the appeal knowing the true situation and never did. There is no sportsmanship in that whatsoever. Instead of winning with admiration the world just shakes its head in disbelieve at a hollow victory instead of a great one. Its a s**t act no one can deny it. The Aussies cricketers will know that. To say its not shows a lack of sportsmanship and this just follows on from Sandpaper gate as its the same players involved.

Give yourself a rest. Keepers have been throwing down the stumps like that since they were in Under 12s (including Bairstow himself, not to mention Brendan McCullum). The 'spirit of cricket' - what a load of bull; if there is such a thing, it begins with respecting the decision of the umpire - Carey and Cummins didn't give Bairstow out, the umpires did

And for those who keep harping on about Starc catch that was completely different. That was not about a team making a decision to win a game at all costs with no regards to the spirit of cricket or sportsmanship. With Bairstow the umpire was about to hand the cap back to the bowler and the square leg had started to walk in. Bairstow scratches the pitch and started to walk up the pitch for a chat and the stumps got thrown down.Then after a period of time to withdraw the appeal it wasnt. Think about it.

Would of been better if it happened during prime time in Australia so everyone could of enjoyed it

Anyone who has ever been involved with cricket at any level knows full well keepers try this s**t all the time. It's 100% in the spirit of cricket. Stokes needs to head down to Leeds u14's this weekend and watch the kids all doing it.
