They already have the territory they are black & white in this comp.

They can pretty much do whatever they like with design, if that's as close as they get to the PB's it's a complete non issue.

While that's true, we've always had the design distinction on our side, this removes it, or at the very least, muddies the water.
Which is their aim.

To me the thin striping of the PB makes it distictive they've never come near it imo let alone equating a swooping chevron magpie half way down the front as a straight line.

He was asked a question and responded in the most diplomatic way possibly (for Kochie anyway).

Media wanted some click bait stuff and they didn't get it. If he'd gone any harder the f-wits would have said we're getting ahead of ourselves, taking our eyes off the main prize blah blah blah.

Well done in my view.

He made a statement that supported Eddie's previous continual counterarguments that we get to wear the PBs every week in the sanfl and so we should be grateful with that and shut up. There were infinite responses Koch could have given that did not do this, and that otherwise given encouragement of a pulse with the campaign without stirring up a headline about the PBs linked with the GF.

Not sure why. But I like that. A lot.
It was originally meant to be a Gather Round jumper (even more ironic hahaha) but they made the jumper with their home sponsor arrangement (Emirates on the front and KFC on the back). The problem however was they did this before the coin toss to decide who would be the home teams during Gather Round, which they lost. Along with that, St Kilda chose to wear their retro crusader jumper which had a half black and red back and black shorts. This jumper wouldn’t have clashed with the red back and shorts version, but it would definitely have clashed with the one St Kilda chose to wear. Anyway to cut a long story short, the jumpers were already made so they needed to find a home game to wear it in. I’m not sure why they chose to wear it against Adelaide, maybe to make up for it originally being intended for Gather Round but that part’s just a guess.

You can't be that naive.
Oh I definitely know what you mean, I just don’t know for sure without any inside knowledge so I didn’t wanna suggest it and then be accused of being a conspiracy theorist hahaha

You can't be that naive.
Genuinely surprised Collingwood don't claim our SANFL premierships as their own.

Surely Collingwood risk forfeiting the four premiership points if they wear our jumpers this week?

Never will I barrack for Adelaide more than I will this week.
Currently considering going to the game in a PB jumper.

Have they copyrighted that design?
If so, that means it is materially different to their current one.
Which means ours is materially different to their current one.

Therefore we have no copyright issues if we wear the PB's whenever we want.
Therefore wear it.
There are no copyright issues.
It’s as simple as Collingwood bullying the AFL and us being too weak to tell them to **** off.

Taking that picture as a win.

We are slowly "normalising" the PBs for the outside Footy world!
Its a good long term strategy, if you push too hard short term you'll be met with resistance, just keeping chipping away until its normal.
Next step possibly could be wearing it in a home game other than a showdown in the 2025 season...

These people are passionate about their football club. They were hurting. They were hurting far more than me."

Seems in stark contrast to the current propaganda of 'nobody hurts more than the players!', but perhaps a topic for a different thread.
