I know we’re in front this year but there were some absolute howlers today. Lots of double standards.

Umpiring was shocking for both teams, don't know why the hawks fans were so up in arms when it was clearly bad all round. Caminiti got dumped on his head and Wood then got slung into the ground, both in the space of 10 seconds, both called play on.

Hands in the back hasn't been around for a few years now.

You have to push, hold or block someone unduly to give away a free.

Best thing I love from this game was how we were able to work the ball out through clearance and also some of our running transition through the corridor.

Reckon the coaching group has been trying to implement some more gears to the way we play that has been taking awhile for the players to get - we saw it last week as well but we couldn't execute and it looked horrible.

Hopefully it's starting to click now

I've explained my thoughts very clearly and discussed the club at length all year. Beating a bottom four side today has not changed my opinion, as shocking as it may seem.

feeling a similar way, I don't trust the club and for good reason, they are going to have to earn it. I will believe we are getting things right when I see it and that's only going to happen when we see sustained high performances which is a long way off and I don't apologise for not lavishing today's performance with praise and neither am I kidding myself about our position on the ladder. I'd be shocked if Ross is happy with our performance today, he looked annoyed again in the presser and I'd be shocked if he thought being 5th on the ladder makes us a contender this year.

Give me wins consistently against the best sides in the comp and then I'll get all mosshy with the praise.

I thought we were good today for periods and much better than the last 11 weeks of dross but still a lot of areas to improve.

Haven't seen RTB presser will have to check it out tomorrow if I get time.

Also don't think we are good enough to consistently win against the best sides. You may be setting unrealistic expectations. We are good enough to play finals and finish in the bottom half of the eight, I had us 6th-8th at the start of the year, we are very lucky that we have both an easier comp this year coupled with an easier fixture.

Personally think we've been playing some absolutely shocking footy for a long period of time now, bottom four stuff. Today was a small step in the right direction. With a group that rely so much on their mental state, wins probably mean more for us than most.

Shout out to a couple of guys I don't usually rate:
Cordy - played a solid game
Byrnes - can't believe how well he kicked especially in the 1st quarter. Myb it's just confidence or he has been working on it, but his kicking looked in today

Also, generally maligned players in Gresh, Billings and Clark had solid games
