This. The Hopper trade didnt help. We definitely panicked and overpaid but this has been neglect and short changing our recruiting. Clarke shouldn’t be anywhere near it.

The club has to revamp the whole footballing department. Which it has been complacent with for a while. We’ve short changed our fitness, recruiting and other divisions. Complacency has lurked at Punt Road. Instead of ruthlessness.

We haven't short changed any of our staff or football divisions. That was straight up on the AFL reducing the soft cap during COVID and they still haven't brought it back to pre pandemic levels. So you have a choice. We chose to keep more coaches. With Dimma gone we should be getting cheaper coaches so we can spend more on other divisions.

We have the same amount as everyone else. It’s how you spend it. We spent it wrong and it’s hurt us on the field.

I’m hoping the club now refocuses on football and what we are around for. Other than the other stuff which has value but is secondary.

Football is the only thing that should matter and winning flags. We have gone away from being ruthless. We have become complacent.
