Yes, I would have. Would have been great experience for a young group, regardless if it felt ahead of schedule. Can’t teach playing in front of a hostile crowd away from home in a final.

Do you agree we can win 2-3 more games next year and make top 6? It does not take much to flick the switch and at least win half of the close ones and also close out games where we have decent leads early (GWS and GC).
I'm worried we'll slip back a fraction next year

We saw tonight how we cope with expectation and next year we'll be expected to make finals. Our best performances this year has come in the free hits against top four teams as heavy underdogs.

Peak Tex surely can't continue next year and I think his amazing form has covered up some flaws.

We haven't even started the process of handing the midfield over to Pedlar, Soligo, Schoenberg, Rachele. There will inevitably be teething problems which we've only delayed by keeping them out of the centre square this year.

What was he thinking to not even review that? I can’t get my head around it what a ******* shitshow. I don’t know what to say this is just ****ed. Sick of this game ripping your heart out.
Apparently the Sydney player tapped the pad and the goal umpire heard that and confused it with the pall hitting the pad which was a good 50 cms away

You ain’t hearing that. Crowd was going mental.

The behind the goals footage that was posted earlier showed the goal umpire move left initially and get caught out by the ball swinging back wildly to his right.

He was totally out of position when it went through, he was chasing the ball instead of being right underneath it.

Some good news for any Sportsbet punters:

It's almost as though the goal umpire is an unathletic goober which is hard to believe

Smashing our club? 🫤 why?
Because a lot of folk are unhappy with some of the decisions the club has made this week

I imagine mostly because the club gave a contract to a chap that is slow and was largely invisible in a game that defined our season .. oh .. and then got subbed off

Im sure the club’s board, which is owned by the AFL, run by the AFL, and ratified by the AFL, will write a very stern letter to checks notes the AFL… telling them how disappointing it is, and that when it inevitably happens again, you better watch out because we’ll be extra extra extra disappointed, and the next letter will have some really really really mean words in it.
We’re all idiots for getting invested in what is effectively entertainment sport like the WWE, aren’t we?

That’s what this is?
Its not a criminal trial where proof needs to be beyond doubt... It should be treated on the basis of probability...

First and foremost the question of “ was it a goal?” obviously yes...

Second question to decide should be “adelaide 4 points up with a minute left with the momentum and state of the match, who was most likely to win??”. And the answer to this is also obvious...

I think the crows should take this one to court or threaten the AFL to overturn the results based off grossly negligent umpiring within the final minute
people are scoffing at me for making the same suggestion.

I don’t think they understand that civil law is about balance of probabilities.

If we weren’t owned by the afl, we should take this to court

I’m not convinced there isn’t corruption involved here.

An unbiased or non corrupt goal umpire would, at a minimum, call for a review In these circustmances

SOMETHING SMELLS OFF HERE

I will add to this that only Ben Keays could kick a ball around the corner and it swings in the opposite direction that it’s supposed to.

I guess the goal umpire hasn’t watched much of Ben Keays.

The non review was bizzare…. I don’t think it’s corruption… I just think it was a shocking goal umpire mistake on all levels… and it needs to be rectified by the AFL.

it literally cost you a finals spot…

There is no word in the dictionary or my imagination strong enough to converse my RAGE at that abhorrent disgusterous garbology of a decision. Take this all the fking way.
Wait a few hours and we'll all watch the footy shows and they explain how we were shafted

Happy days
