For absence of doubt, Adelaide would be playing finals v Carlton in week one in Melbourne if Ben Keays goal had not been incorrectly disallowed last week. For you yeh. 44 + 4 = 48 when I went to school. Swans 8th on 50 points.

Yet the addition of Gather Round gave them an extra home game and 4 points that normally wouldn't happen that the other interstate clubs didn't get enjoy. For absence of doubt, Adelaide would be playing finals v Carlton in week one in Melbourne if Ben Keays goal had not been incorrectly disallowed last week.
Sydney don’t deserve to be there either though, took a north Melbourne interchange brain fart and a goal umpire brain fart for them to qualify in 8th.Yet the addition of Gather Round gave them an extra home game and 4 points that normally wouldn't happen that the other interstate clubs didn't get enjoy.
Cry me a river if they won on the road a bit more they would have made it.
Only won 2 games all season outside Adelaide.
Hawthorn and West Coast nothing to bleat about.

Yes I know I ****ed up. My maths is shit…But will own it unlike others on this board.who’s gonna tell him?
honestly pretty embarrassing, their team has been on an absolute tear to end the season and make finals for the first time in a decade and they check out early bc theyre down in a nothing game. surely stick around and support the team for a good end to the home and away seasonSo are there fans.
They've buggered off very early.
You could argue that as well.Sydney don’t deserve to be there either though, took a north Melbourne interchange brain fart and a goal umpire brain fart for them to qualify in 8th.
Gryan Miers doing Mad Monday right.

All the points you raised are irrelevant. The fact is they were robbed of that game and more concerning is Gillian throwing the goal umpire under the bus when the whole goal review system is inadequate in the first place. You could argue that as well.
But the whinging from Adelaide fans is tiresome.
They had 6 games decided under a goal and lost 5 of them.
They had there opportunities to win one more game and didn't take it.
It happened to us twice this year, 1st was a Hughes kick that was paid a mark to the opposition when replays showed it had crossed the line and should of been called a goal (if they’d called for a review) second was even more bizarre, mark was paid to Freo play, who went back and kicked the goal, then they decided to review the mark and reversed the decision declaring it had crossed the line for a behind so the mark shouldn’t have been paid. All the points you raised are irrelevant. Needless to say, if that happened to us we would be screaming blue murder and rightly so. I actually wish all the clubs got together on this issue and force AFL to sort the system out once and for all
None of them as clear cut as Adelaide’s and none of them cost us a game.It happened to us twice this year, 1st was a Hughes kick that was paid a mark to the opposition when replays showed it had crossed the line and should of been called a goal (if they’d called for a review) second was even more bizarre, mark was paid to Freo play, who went back and kicked the goal, then they decided to review the mark and reversed the decision declaring it had crossed the line for a behind so the mark shouldn’t have been paid.
They need to change the rules to review everything that goes near the goals, whether the ump calls a mark, post or behind but this would slow down the game immensely.
Who's to say sydney don't win a clearance and kick a goal in the remaining 90 seconds of game time though. It's not like our game vs north where we were robbed of a kick after the siren with the most clear deliberate ever seen and then the AFL released unsynced footage to try and prove they were right.None of them as clear cut as Adelaide’s and none of them cost us a game.
You can all have opinions and tell Adelaide to suck it up, fine. But unless something drastically changes, it’s a matter of time before we lose a game blatantly like that and then this server may as well switch off.
We lost that game and didnt deserve to win but it is ****ing unbelievable they gaslighted everyone and no one said a single thing about it. Some real mafia type corruption bullshit thereWho's to say sydney don't win a clearance and kick a goal in the remaining 90 seconds of game time though. You mean like how the umpire set the place for a free kick after the siren a good ten metres further forward than where the ball went out of bounds and then handed the ball to a player who was nowhere near the event to take the kick costing us the match?
That would never happen to us..
All of those are what ifs. None of them eventuated as painful as it was. If you can’t see the difference between those cases then there’s no point discussing it furtherWho's to say sydney don't win a clearance and kick a goal in the remaining 90 seconds of game time though. What happened? We made a big comeback and kicked a goal to take the lead with minute to go and got disallowed?... it happened at Optus stadium against Carlton.
both of them are scenarios that actually happened that definitely changed the result of the game. Carlton were gifted an easier set shot to the wrong player which won them the game, and Hughes was robbed of a kick after the siren that would have drawn or won the game. All of those are what ifs.
