*UPDATE FOR GRAND FINAL BALLOT SHOULD CARLTON QUALIFY:-

BALLOT EMAIL WENT OUT TODAY 18TH SEPTEMBER.

It’s great that I can read so many messages from excited people getting finals tickets. I’ve been following footy since 1964 and I’ve seen many examples of the positive side of being a member of the tribe. The community aspect of following Carlton (and probably for all teams) is not what it once was. That’s why I enjoy Big Footy (most of the time). It’s a bastion that reminds me of the past. Long may it continue.

As kid growing up in the 80s then 90s as a Bluebagger I always took finals and grand finals for granted, always assuming we would be playing or thereabouts every year

The last 20 odd years have been a real bitter pill to swallow, but also one that's given me greater appreciation of our history and past success, and how to savour every win, and finals appearance from now on.

Yeah I can't understand that when we have a week off.

I know people who were timed out when trying to process payments etc. because the system was running so slow. They still get tickets, but inferior ones to the first option they are trying to pay for.
Happened to me. Was trying to get a ticket in case anyone here missed out that wanted to go. I got the ticket. M something. Row G. Looked good, but my phone was so slow processing through payment, it flicked me out. Didn't go back in. I attempted at 10:20am.

Any other level 4 baddies?

Yep, level 4 Q57.

Managed to get row A and it’s down the cheer squad end so very happy in the end.

Still find it perplexing as 20 year Captains Club reserved seat members we could not get two seats together anywhere on level one or two, despite getting ‘access’ to purchase at 10.15am… the whole thing just feels like a lottery.

Oh well, on with the show!!

Pretty much..... I got AFL members tickets to pies game (not for me) yesterday. was on early and could only get Level 4 row H in southern stand. AFL members today 4 x tickets Southern Stand, level 2A Row A. little bit off dead center wing, nearly the best seats you could get for viewing the game in the entire stadium

Ticketek is a shocking system!
They really should make it that the timer clock starts when you actually get in to be able to make the purchase NOT before while you're sitting waiting in the "Lounge"waiting area.

The clock should re-set to 5 minutes, once you have access to tickets.. I had one laptop that was logged into the ticket window (not the queue)but by the time the tickets went on sale at 12pm i wouldve had 1 minute 3 second to get tickets and make payment. Lucky laptop number two got into ticket window 2 minutes before they went on sales.

Also, I think it was being within their system that made my phone so slow. Ie: transfer over to Gpay. Might go with credit card option if in for next round.

Does anyone know if there are any perks for long-term members? I'm told 20-year members at North have priority 1 access to Grand Final tickets.
There cannot be a guarantee for Grand Final tickets for long term members. Each club only gets around 17,000 tickets. That is why captains club has a waiting list as the clubs cannot sell more of these types of memberships than the 17,000.
The clubs cannot control the number of long term members.

Did you login first though?

The timer (about 5 mins 40 sec is it?) didn't start until after I selected tickets and it made me log in. Luckily the email and password are remembered by default, otherwise I was rogered.

Did you pick your seats or did they get given to you after choosing best available?

I think if you have the level of guaranteed access, it will actually be easier.

You won't be competing with so many people at the same time. Am I right in thinking that St. Kilda and Giants fans were buying at the same time this morning?
I'm hearing all of the 8 Saints and Giants members secured their tickets 👍

It wasn't your phone. Every step of the process was slow. Didn't matter how you paid.

My mate was thrown out whilst waiting for his credit card payment to process.

Absolutely was logged in at the time. Tried on my mobile and got through right away no waiting time and got Category 1 tickets, which we wanted.

Yeah I get that, was wondering if there was a ballot in addition to the guarantee membership tiers. I'm a Carltonian member so sorted either way, but also approaching 20 years.
