Took me 25min of waiting for Ticketek to load but finally made it in. Managed to get two out of the four tickets I was trying to get but bloody stoked as it'll be my first Carlton final.

Just out of interest, does anyone know if you go to a ticketek or ticketmaster office whether you can purchase tickets through there easier than purchasing online?

Sorry to intrude but Ticketek hate is pretty silly, there's really no proper way to handle thousands of people trying to get the exact same tickets and random acceptance is the best way to do it, otherwise, you'd have people complaining about bots getting in a queue before them, and nobody wants to camp outside a physical office.
As for the payment issues though they are something that needs fixing.

Funny you should say that, I just got my SMS ticket now, nearly 2 hours after I purchased it

Seems like most of us on this board who want to go to the game have gotten tickets, so that makes me chuffed !

Being mcc I was always going to go no matter what, but mcc reserved sold out, and got 2 unreserved mcc guest passes for mates.

Might try my luck in Jim styles restaurant booking as well.

It’s great that I can read so many messages from excited people getting finals tickets. I’ve been following footy since 1964 and I’ve seen many examples of the positive side of being a member of the tribe. The community aspect of following Carlton (and probably for all teams) is not what it once was. That’s why I enjoy Big Footy (most of the time). It’s a bastion that reminds me of the past. Long may it continue.

I think if you have the level of guaranteed access, it will actually be easier.

You won't be competing with so many people at the same time. Am I right in thinking that St. Kilda and Giants fans were buying at the same time this morning?

Similar story for AFL Members, the hardest weeks are actually the first two weeks of the finals. Not everyone has access to PF and GF and so the demands on the servers are much lower.

I’m not sure but based on the Giants level of support on Sunday it’s like opening access for one group of supporters.

Yeah I can't understand that when we have a week off.

I know people who were timed out when trying to process payments etc. because the system was running so slow. They still get tickets, but inferior ones to the first option they are trying to pay for.
