You remember that kid that no one liked that would always follow you?

You know you're going badly when you say something so ridiculous even Caro and McClure call you out on it rather than joining in for another pile on against North.

Fair back down to first claim it was widely touted as a coaching "dream team" to then be begging to have it acknowledged that there was maybe "a fair bit of positivity" around the coaching team

Full time professionals only please. We’ve got pros actually running the joint now, need 100% buy in from the orange peeler up.

Btw if we’re keeping Russell maybe he’s actually ok? Has a bit to work with but our midfield is a strong line, relatively. Also thought our forward line started to look much better structured once Clarko came back. Patch goes alright imo.

So defence, development (x2?), plus a new senior assistant must be added/promoted? Lynch is doing ok with VFL, leave him there? Anyone have any insight?

I hope he can do something similar to what he did at Hawthorn with the likes of Beveridge, Hardwick, Simpson, Dew etc.

Yeah I think bringing in contractors for specialist projects (e.g. Operation Larkey) is ok. But I can see how crucial members of staff with frequent unavailability could be problematic.

I think his influence on Larkey has been clear, and proof that he knows what he's doing in this regard, so I wish they'd keep him around to work with Xerri who needs a contested marking/forward craft coach maybe more than anyone ever has.

Not sure if these 2 events are connected but it's a good call-out.

Larkey's contested marking improved greatly later in the year. Whether that was related to Brown's tuition not sure, would be interesting to see if Nick mentions anything to this effect at the Syd.
