Big Game Zane lived up to his name in this game. It wasn't his best game for the season, which is unsurprising given the difficult conditions. But with Tasmania finishing over the top in the fourth quarter and his teammates flagging, Zane embraced the moment, stepped up and had a huge 4th quarter.

Arie chose a fantastic moment to turn in a best on ground performance in the biggest game of the season so far for Tasmania. In difficult conditions, his attacking decision making with ball in hand resulted in some turnovers but he ultimately proved to be one of few on the day that could consistently progress the ball for his team.

Jeepers he’s got Daniel Curtin lasting until GCs pick.
Not sure if it's a true reflection of how he thinks clubs will pick or if it's just his ratings of players. After all we're stil going to have to wait on what sort of compo the AFL gives North.

Hi guys and hope I'm not intruding.
So pi..sed off that you went down last Thursday. I have money on you winning the flag so I hope you can bounce back.
A question if I may.
What sort of player do you see James Jordan as? Is he a Liberatore type inside mid or an outside running receiver? I haven't seen enough of him this year to make that determination. Secondly, does he have a future with Melbourne as he is obviously behind quite a few at the moment?
If and I say IF, Melbourne were to look at trading Grundy to us, I'm wondering if Jordan could be a part of that deal. Grundy on his own for our pick 21 or Grundy and Jordan for our first (11)?
Thoughts.
with all due respect, Sydney wouldn't offer their first for Grundy and Jordon. If so, melbourne would jump at it. Jordon is both inside and outside. But he isn't a bull at a gate sort of inside mid. He's the sort of player that seems to pop up in the right spots during games and can even kick the odd goal.

True he usually saves his actual phantom draft for the day before the draft.

I’m assuming North gets pick 2 and 3 when I said he’s got Curtin available to GCs pick.

In reality I can see us deciding between Watson, Sanders and O’Sullivan on the night - and that’s only if North don’t get access to Sanders.

I feel like Sanders is too slow 🐌 we already have enough of his type I feel.

Interesting – to me, his breakaway pace looks good, but his kicking is suspect and lacks a bit of penetration. Still, you're right in that he's similar to some of what we already have.

yeah apparently his pace is ok according to him having an athletics background or something. If we pick Sanders I'd want to be confident that Tassie don't poach him

This Twomey bloke...is that how he rates them (if so, who cares) or what he's hearing will happen with information gathering (more interesting)?

It's his individual ratings. He releases a mock/phantom draft closer to the date.

In actual fact it's a 'Phantom Form Guide' which makes little sense.

Apparently Essendon, Carlton, Sydney and Richmond are showing interest in Harmes according to Sam McClure and Mutch Cleary podcast

Premiership player, I can see why teams are so interested.... has to be worth a second at least 🤭

I can maybe understand Essendon wanting a bigger, mature body in their midfield, but would make absolutely no sense for someone like Carlton.

Still, bring on the bidding war 😅

Going to be an interesting offseason:
  • Hibbo (retired)
  • Melk (unconfirmed, but seems like he may go again)
  • Jordon (almost certainly gone)
  • Grundy (gone)
  • Tomlinson (good chance to leave)
  • Harmes (good chance to leave)
  • Brown and McDonald (potential retirements, but who knows)
That's not even including potential delisting candidates. Fair bit to sort out.

Edmund on SEN basically said we're actively trying to get Harmes and Tomlinson off our books so I'd have them in the almost certainly gone category.

As much as I'd love Brown and Tmac to retire I can't see us eating their contracts.

We're going to be very busy in the trade/draft period regardless to fill all those spots.
