The game was pretty much finished at stumps on the second day.

You're far better off chasing an outright win than worrying about an extra 0.5 batting points. But anyway, match drawn.

Guess there is no room in sports these days for a thing called SPORTSMANSHIP.

I remember playing U18s and we had this team absolutely done and dusted.
Their only batter that did anything had a red hot crack and made it at least a little fun.
He went for an all mighty swing and hit the stumps, ump gave it straight out.
We all got together and decided to not appeal and called him back.
We still won the game, he made a few more runs but got out anyway.
