Because of the fans WCE will always be my least favourite. The Blues are getting close though.
I wish spoons on the Eagles.

I wish mid table irrelevance on the Blues...which is worse. Stuck in limbo forever as a irrelevant, overrated team.

This. That way we get the pre-season puff pieces about how they're coming or whatever and then they suck and all non-Blues fans laugh.

How can you not hate the weags?

Geez suddenly this board has become some kind of weird parallel universe version of itself.
I don't hate them. I don't like them either.

I could not care less about them.

I am sure the eagles board are tolerant to us Dockers fans. lol

If the dockers have a season where they win a flag and Eagles finish bottom 6. Again... I am happy for freo to win the flag....

I couldn't care less where the eagles are on the ladder if we win the flag.

Dockers made the grand final in 2013. how many of us even gave a stuff where the eagles finished in 2013 (they finished bottom 6).

West Coast have some good fans and some bad ones. Living in WA I know a lot of them I guess.

Every single Carlton fan I've ever met is a ****wit.

Most of them Carltonistan fans are arrogant clowns.

I was a Carlton fan before I was a dockers fan. So yeah, I know what you are talking about.

The Carlton fans I know have been in blues colours since they were little kids and haven't experienced success in their conscious years.

I think we dislike them because we see ourselves reflected.

It's the umpires who have stuffed us regarding Carlton and you'd have to be blind to think that a club that is down the bottom getting prime TV spots wasn't indicative of the AFL reaaaaaaaaally wanting Carlton to succeed.

And we will never be the darling of the AFL. Our purpose is to get +50% WA views in TV deals and soak up half the WA talent trying to play in their home state.

Our best bet for a flag is finishing top four next to Port Adelaide, winning our way to a home prelim and then force the way into the grand final against Port by kicking 24 goals from open play and long kicks to the loose out the back - very hard to pay a free against there.

Funny old world...
Two clever generous mates are WC fans...
Two other clever generous mates are Blues fans...
It just doesnt matter...
Irrational hatred has its own joy!
Yokai!

Sorry what? The umpires that stuffed us?

Not the bidding on Henry, not the courting of Cerra, not the stealing of Motlop nor the theft of Acres? The umpiring is definitly there but not the be all. Then you've got that smug prick Cripps and the rest of them and the media fawning over them depsite being genuinely worse than us for a lot longer. How can you not hate Carlton?

We ended up with a great result from Cerra and Acres was a Bell stuff up. But the rest.... I want them to suck for a very long time. Sadly they should be at least top eight this season.

We still lost 2 decent players which propped up a rival list. Who else to hate except the club they ended up at?

I can't hate them for Acres when that was effectively our decision. That is likely one of the reasons Bell was moved sideways this off season.
You can't tell me who to hate

Carlton bought multiple flags in the 70s and 80s when the rules were lax and enforcement non-existent, then tried to do it again in the late 90s and finally got caught. Their fans are still living in the brown paper bag era of football management. That they haven't won one since is barely sufficient karma, I might eventually be mollified if they go another fifty years before winning one.

To be fair they only really bought the ‘87 one when Elliot was in his pomp. The ‘95 one was odd - wedged in the middle of Eagles, North minor dynasties. Still, it’s hard to argue with losing only two matches in a season.

The 60s, 70s and early 80s flags (won when I was a young supporter) were fairly achieved.

I don't think so, it preceded Elliot. He was just the continuation of a culture of paper bags, not just in terms of buying players but in terms of the sway they had over how the VFL was run that translated into things like favourable recruitment zones before the draft came along, and turning a blind eye to rule transgressions. There's an attitude problem there to this day that is a legacy of the era.

I remember Elliott coming to Subi and being in a corporate box where Freo crowd was giving it to him, also remember Ken Judge assistant coach at Carlton getting absolutely hammered at the Subi after a Carlton win over us at Subi. And I mean hammered

Yes, but those cultural issues and openness to rule-bending applied to the whole VFL. The Richmond side of the early 70s and the North side coached by Barassi later in the decade ruthlessly exploited every opportunity.
