From the interview with Anderson and luko it sounded like just opening round but who knows they may give him a bit extra time. It's a long season no need to rush him.9 News Gold Coast reported tonight that Casboult is ready to play in place of Walter while he recovers. Is Jed's injury potentially worse than we originally thought?
He’s got the tattoos for the role, at least. Looks nothing like the baby faced kid we drafted last year, and I’m all for it!Got to love that Humphrey is set to play Martin's role.
Ideally the younger players go past him this year due to their own improvement/performance, not his regression.Doesn't sound overly confident in his place in the team. Could this be the beginning of the end for Dave swallow? To be switched to the backline only a few weeks ago where he has been tried before and didn't really thrive is worrying. Personally I don't mind him forward but dimma looking at speed and pressure around the likes of King, walter, luko, casboult it seems.
I agree. I think he’s not just a better player than Holman, but a better forward when he was used there. Holman excels at pressure, but not the other stats of a forward, unfortunately.I actually thought Dave was pretty good forward. Knows where the goals are, surprised he hasn't ever been tried down there in a role similar to Holman.

I said it a bit last year but Dave Swallow, as much as we love him, shouldn't really be a best 22 player for us anymore.I actually thought Dave was pretty good forward. Knows where the goals are, surprised he hasn't ever been tried down there in a role similar to Holman.
Incorrect. Swallow split midfield (45% CBA) with forward role. Rowell played fulltime midfield (82% CBA).He played fulltime midfield last year and averaged 16 touches and 4 tackles.
True. Holman was a full time forward, Swallow was not.Incorrect. Swallow split midfield (45% CBA) with forward role. Rowell played fulltime midfield (82% CBA).
It looks like Dimma will go with pressure.True. Holman was a full time forward, Swallow was not.
For forward craft comparison:
Swallow had 4.3 score involvements and 0.6 goals, compared to Holman’s 3.9 and 0.7. They both have 0.6 marks inside forward 50. And both average 4.4 tackles a game, but Swallow has less pressure acts.
So I think they are pretty comparable. And if I had to personally (and with my own bias in mind) choose one, it would be Swallow.
Ready to explode, full preseason Hello Dusty
