yeah i think it is good value. they're one of my faves in the area and are extremely filling. they pack shitloads of meat into it too which is no doubt the most expensive ingredient.

$10 for a high-quality meal is cheap these days no matter what way u look at it. For example Footscray Subway footlongs are $17!!!! For a vastly inferior product.

I've never really experienced cheap eats as an adult so the shock of a $10 baguette is lost on me. Subway at its cheapest in Australia was $10 for a footlong in my memory so it seems about right to me tbh. Maybe they did those $5 promos for a lil while though
They had the $5, then $7 promotional ones but as soon as you made any adjustments that price went out the window. Like the Dominos large pizza deals.

In the CBD you can go to get a half baguette for $8 bucks at B3 in Centre Place, were $6 a few years ago - fairly light on for fillings. I'd happily pay $10 for a Banh Mi absolutely stuffed with pork.

I rarely begrudge food prices being higher than expected because honestly speaking they're not high enough. Tiny margins, high chance of failure.

Whilst ongoing conversations about the moral implications of digitally invading the bodily cavities of one's work colleagues, or evaluations of the appropriate pricing conventions of Vietnam's most famous and delectable pork-based bun sandwich, are no doubt equally invaluable in todays world, they are possibly best explored elsewhere...

In other words...InB4 the complaints start coming...

I’m going to a place now in Essendon that does big Banh Mi for $7. I don’t have $10 Banh Mi blood in me.
Sounds like an Aldi argument...But is your $7 banger as good as the $10

They make the roll on site and it's worth every bit of 10 bucks...delicious.

Surely you can't banh mi for some sandwich talk.

I actually got the place wrong today and paid $8.50 but the $7 roll from yesterday was far better, soft buns, good fillings and know how to spread the chili.

Just wait till the sandwiches start invading said bodily cavities.

I guess you could start a thread titled "Sack-whacking and it's implications in modern society" and another titled "The impact of Vietnamese pork buns on the Australian economy in 2024".

But then this thread would be deserted.

No Mitchell, Macdonald, DGB, Blanck (forcing Frost to play KPD) and CJ (an option) plus a free wheeling Amon playing HBF means there is a dearth of small defenders that actually defend available. Hardwick was moved back during the intra too.

Meanwhile we have a plethora of small/medium forward options in Ginnivan, Breust, MacDonald, Butler, Watson and Moore. Plus Gunston.

There is absolutely a chance he's moved back into defence during the season, I expect he'll be used as a swing man. It will be interesting to see where he lines up against the Doggies on Friday, and if he spends the whole game up forward.

It will, but 'there's a chance' is not the same as 'will barely play there'.

Hopefully Shammy is back for R1. I read a report today that he won't be far off

I don't think anyone doubts he will be a swingman and used as needed but it's clear forward is the priority. Despite this, people keep posting their predicted best 22 with him as a back pocket which just seems purposely obtuse.

Such a cruel world 8:00am in Perth - like WTF
Yes, I understand. Having to live in Perth is cruel. But at least you have the Hawks to give you some happiness.;)

Will the game this Friday be televised?
It'd be nice if it was a Members thing as opposed to a Kayo thing.

I realise that PPV is the way the world has gone, but it'd be nice to have a bit of a bonus for being a member.

On the Chol situation, my reaction is simple:

Don't stick your digits in people's cavities without consent. Male, female, hetero or homo. Just don't do it without another person's permission. If you do, the digit deserves to be broken.
