This. And despite it not being part of the eligibility criteria, the media reps who vote on it have since 2016 only voted a winner from the top 8 selections of the previous year's national draft with the exception of Jackson in 2021 which I put down to the 2020 draft being a bit weaker and all the COVID impacts on development.

I'll be shocked if the 2024 Rising Star isn't one of Reid or McKercher. From what I understand they'll both be getting plenty of minutes across HB where they'll get plenty of ball and opportunity to show off their skills. Also seem likely to play 20+ games. Watson a smokey if he can average 1-2 goals and consistently make the highlights reels.

Previous winners and their draft
2023, H.Sheezel, 2022 pick 3
2022, N.Daicos, 2021 pick 4
2021, L.Jackson, 2019 pick 3
2020, C.Serong, 2019 pick 8
2019, S.Walsh, 2018 pick 1
2018, J.Stephenson, 2017 pick 6
2017, A.McGrath, 2016 pick 1
2016, C.Mills, 2015 pick 3
2015, J.Hogan, 2012 mini-draft pick 2
2014, L.Taylor, 2013 pick 28
2013, J.O'Meara, 2011 mini-draft pick 1
2012, D.Talia, 2009 pick 13
2011, D.Heppell, 2010 pick 8
2010, D.Hannebery, 2008 pick 30

Get on Hustwaite. Not flashy, but has the potential to do much more damage.

On the Chol situation, my reaction is simple:

Don't stick your digits in people's cavities without consent. Male, female, hetero or homo. Just don't do it without another person's permission. If you do, the digit deserves to be broken.

If I had my way, the digit would be removed.

Pho Farks sake that’s a bad joke
Thank god for this post. I was beginning to think the Pork Bun discussion thread was being derailed by footy posters.

Mckelcher for mine. Will slip into the back flank, and rack up touches, in a position suited to his game style.

I guess you could start a thread titled "Sack-whacking and it's implications in modern society" and another titled "The impact of Vietnamese pork buns on the Australian economy in 2024".

But then this thread would be deserted.
I think pork bun thread would go right off with action

I have to ask, did he get the full Hopoate or just a poke outside the shorts?

Reeves stood out to me in this photo. Looks a lot stronger than previous years.
Anyone else ever sit near Pat Cash back in the day at Waverley ?
We used to see him at 3-4 games , always behind the interchange .
Was always nice to us kids ......unless you interrupted him during play or if he was knocking back a 4'n'20 🙂

Used to get a meatball sub (footlong) for about 5 bucks back in the mid 2000s.

Bulking back in those days was piss easy.
I was having lunch at The Last Piece today ( in the stand at Waverley ) and saw Nash and (maybe) Lewis eating lunch…. I’m sure my lunch was bigger than either of theirs and i had a calamari salad ! I was surprised they were eating so little. No doubt their diet is managed a lot better than mine ( especially with wifey’s vanilla slice figuring so prominently )

have eaten there a couple of times or so midweek and have seen Hawks players there each time…

Cash stood out to me. Bloke is in awesome nick for 62 years young.
I'm Pat Cash's age and I can guarantee you that neither he nor I are 62.
