Reacting like that to Ginever tells you all you need to know about Charlie & the whole joint, it's on par with Hinkley telling club greats they don't understand modern footy.

I'll tell you what they did understand you fukcing bellends! SKILLS
Or Kochie telling Tredders to learn about the club.

So Dixon and Jones raced a 20+ year old Holden Monaro against a brand new Ford Mustang and the Mustang won...

****ing hell, maybe he actually doesn't know dick about cars, because anyone with half a brain would have already known what a ridiculous and predictable match up that would be. I'm actually more worked up about this than the Finlayson thing.

Not true at all. Got a mate with a 69 Camaro that would of killed both those cars... Age has nothing to do with it.

Exactly I'm 43 and can still **** like I did when I was 19.... 🤔 I just need more of a rest in between.. and sometimes cramp up. 😳

Yea well my go-cart with a souped up johnson rod would smoke 'em all
GRANNY SHIFTING, NOT DOUBLE CLUTCHING LIKE YA SHOULD - Dominic Toretto

All this says to me is that the 33yo would still be one of the most damaging forwards in the competition if, having had to recover from a broken foot and having had almost no preseason, his kicking was up to scratch. No surprises there and one could expect his kicking would get back to his 53% average as the season progresses.

Nah a Monaro should win that over any distance outside of a pure drag. If the Mustang won it just shows the difference in driver ability.

Petracca, McKay both in bottom 4 of the TOP 50 set shot takers for the WHOLE 2023 season. Spuds.

This stat obviously has devastating significance, especially after 4 rounds.

Sorry, are you saying Dixon is NOT horrible in front of goals?

And McKay was famously bad in front of goal last year, such that he was kicking every shot around the body.

His average at Port is 53.9% which is about average for a key forward. I haven't counted this season where yes he has been horrible in our first 4 games. As I previously stated his fitness levels and the amount of time he could not practice goal kicking while recovering from a broken foot are decent excuses for his current yips and I would expect him to improve as the season progresses.

My point regarding McKay and Petracca is that some really good players have the yips for an entire season and we are judging Dixon after 4 games. Lets see how he progresses after a few more games before calling him a potato. Given his fitness, his other stats are actually not too bad. Averaging 5.5 marks a game, 3rd in the league for CM, has take 4 MOL this year and even 3 intercept marks. Aerially he is doing very well considering his tank. He is averaging 7.5 score involvements a game which is his highest ever at Port and he does take most of our forward ruck stoppages. So he isn't a potato based on his overall game so far.

Lets also not forget that as a team our GA% is 46.4% which is below the AFL average. Last week was the first game this year we kicked more goals than points IIRC. We have been well below the AFL average every year (which is usually about 48-49%) since Hinkley has been coach barring 2021. From a team perspective his kicking for goal is well above average.

The team is screaming for a specialist goalkicking coach for years. Based on our efforts so far this season, I'm not sure Chad was the answer.

I swear that Charlie models his goal kicking on my golf tee shots.

So in the post game interview, Dix basically said something to the effect of 'I wanted to be able to do more but Ken wanted me to keep doing the team things'

Bit cryptic but sounds like he wanted to actually maybe try take some marks or kick goals or make a lead even, but stinkers just wanted him to make a contest and bring it to ground?
