Time to admit we are a middle of the road team...
What ever happens this year we can't trade away any future picks again. Stop mortgaging our future

Time to tell Dixon, boak and mckenzie it's over.
Finlayson and Burton dropped.
Shop wines and the above 2.
The Evans and McEntee experiment is done. Blood some younger guys.

Get visentini, Tommy A, Lord, Lorenz, Williams and Scully into the team. Give them a decent run.

Hit the draft and look at a couple free agents if there are any worth a look.

We aren't winning it with the oldies or with an extra piece etc

lol, "right now they're even with Carlton".

Did he not watch last night's game? Surely he's just taking the pee pee.
"They were really good against Melbourne." Ummm we lost to Melbourne - is losing OK now, as long as you play well?

Very noticeable in the Western Stand also. Absolutely non-existent atmosphere all night.

The whole feeling is so stale.

Basically a result of targeting supporters who are happy to look at their phones and talk to the person next to them all game. It’s just a social couple hours for them and the game doesn’t really mean much

Blokes been dribbling the “leanings” retort for 12 years and not 1 journalist has asked Stinkers to actually put into words what exactly has been learnt

Whenever a journalist ever attempts to ask a difficult question or even anything remotely critical of Ken he simply responds by saying "I've been in the game a long time" He doesn't actually answer anything but I think this response confuses everyone and they just move on to another question.

I’ve been raging all day, don’t know why should be used it it, but lots of port supporters have said we played well why you upset it was only the last quarter..

If this is a cross section no wonder this prick is still our coach.. our supporter base is deluded.

How trailing a side at home for the most part of three quarters equates to good or ok has me buggered yea.

We’ll desperately need a glut of elite young talent just as the Apple Isle Native Fauna With Weird Sh¡t On Their Face come in and scoop multiple drafts.

I was a member back in the tarp days of footy park, not many of us there on game day, but I’d gladly take the 15-20 k crowd of then over these idiots of today.

Being ordinary is way more fun when you haven't had the same loser for a dozen years.

At least you can focus on "green shoots" and the hope for improval.

This is exactly it.

Everyone who wants Hinkley sacked is well aware that the next guy could be just as bad if not worse and same with the guy after that, etc, and that we might not win a premiership again in any of our lifetimes.

The absolute key word in sport is hope. You have to sell your fans hope that if not this year then very soon we will lift the trophy. But when you've had the same people selling that message for 12 years and counting, hope no longer exists and hopelessness is what you get.

If there was some glimmer of hope that the person who's been in the chair was on the cusp of delivering success, it'd be slightly less tedious. But we all know that ain't happening - we're in this painful holding pattern until the idiot in the room finally leaves.

Very similar to my theory that every club sells its season to the members on either success, hope or change.

You absolutely must have one of the three. Port hasn't had any of them since 2019.

Lmao the absolute red flags in this article from over a decade ago

He admits being the bridesmaid for an AFL coaching job each year for the previous three years had made him a little gun shy to again work through the arduous auditions.

Getting beaten in job interviews is scary

This is a country boy who once he got to Werribee, he got spooked by how big the place was and then had to find his way around.

Going to Werribee is scary.

So I did a bit of labouring work in factories between playing footy. But every chance I got, I was on the train or in the car trying to get home to country Victoria.

“I had no plan. As long as I could play somewhere I was going to be OK. I came from a family that just worked hard.

The brilliant mind of ken hinkley. Capable of not much more than a basic labouring job. The answer to everything is working hardery.

After his last game with Geelong in 1995, Hinkley started putting up his hand to coach – and kept it up until Port Adelaide called 12 months ago.

A guy who tried and failed to get a senior coaching job in the AFL for 16 years and wasn't considered good enough..

Hinkley has his simple escape from a job. “I shut the door at home, that’s what I do,” says Hinkley

At the end of the season I like a holiday with the family. I like the races. I love the races. I have a mate from Mortlake who trains greyhounds. I have one now – two starts, two wins. That’s me. That is my biggest release.

Love me gambling and me animal cruelty

The Power’s guidelines for its coach were clear. It needed a mentor who could restore discipline in a playing group that had lost its competitive edge, a coach who could rebuild the football club’s credibility on and off the field and a leader who would win back the faith of the disillusioned fans tired of watching club heroes Mark Williams and Matthew Primus fail to uphold the club’s core values on the field.

How's that going..
Competitive edge? ❌
Credibility? ❌
Winning the faith of disillusioned fans?

Homeless bum Rucci not scared to do drive bys on primus and Williams, who were gone, by the way, for failing to uphold core values on field.. now he spends his time nuzzling the chode of ken hinkley, despite him being the most despised coach by his own supporters by the length of the dingo fence..
