It wasn't that long ago that our list was so bad that regardless of who we brought in from the reserves to replace an injured or under-performing player it didn't make any difference to the end result whatsoever.

Whilst we still have some work to do on our list / best 22 we are in such a better position now if a player gets injured or is under-performing as we are able to reward VFL form; Will Phillips, Curtis Taylor, Robert Hansen Jr and Jaiydn Stephenson are all examples of this.

So rather than bemoan the fact that we're giving Jaiydn Stephenson another game be pleased that the club has evolved to a point where there is competition for most spots and we finally have some reasonable depth.

playing half back also allows one to float into the wing.

I wonder if this is trialed in anticipation of scott leaving and stephenson given the wingman role?

Yep that’s worked very well today hasn’t it.

Stamp his papers and ship him out.

Pack your bags, it’s all over. Best of luck in your future endeavours.
Agree … he’s attack at the footy & cat shrugs at the contest make us a 5 goal worse side . It’s like the intensity & pressure of previous weeks in our team automatically drops off when he plays …
You know he’s never going to go when it’s his turn to go & even the smallest of opponents will shrug of any his puss weak tackles

A few people have brought up his DE in defense of his game today (in other threads). But it needs context.

He constantly panics and makes the wrong decision, and disposes to a team mate under pressure, which then results in said team mate getting tackled, turning over the ball etc. His DE is high but leads to negative outcomes for the team.

Or his disposal to a team mate makes them have to work 5x harder than they should have to to get it.
