I think that Wardlaw is like an early version of Clayton Oliver. Can get a ball but looks ungainly and not an elite kick (Choco ever told him that).totally agree. Wardlaw gets a lot of media praise for a bloke whose kicking is meh. Sure he hunts the ball for a half of footy before he tires, but his disposal needs a lot of work. Sheezel and Ashcroft are top shelf, but again, we would laugh at any proposal to trade him for either. Weddle is a unicorn.
It’s a fan voted team, so it means popular players get in.Weddle made the squad for the 22 under 22, would also think he would be a very good chance at the team as well. Awesome work!
I think Anthony Hudson is all over him (and Dear)Footy world sleeping on how good this second year player is and can be.
He can be the best player on the list and a forward half superstar. Mid/forward has to be his future.
I was thinking this during the game. CHF who works back into defence and burns them on the rebound.Barrass to FB.
Battle to CHB.
Weddle to CHF.
Spine complete.
Said virtually the same thing a coupla posts north…The single biggest reason why we need another big tall is to unleash Weds. He's phenomenal.

How good would it be to watch Weddle do this role every week? He can absolutely bang a goal from 50+m out.Play him on the HFF and let him free-wheel.
