Maybe if Amartey misses, just chuck Isaac at FF.

Corey doesn't really deserve it, but I'd like to give Sheldrick a shot, depending on tomorrow, in for Adams. Whereas Chad is more a like for like with his brother.

Corey has been good in the VFL and just seems harsh to drop him.

I'd like to see Sheldrick though I agree

Ohhh yeah!!! Some early season form returning indeed. Confidence, confidence...

Cleary & BC can stay please .. and Parker , well I think quite a few on this board need to give themselves a whack for 'you know what'!

So top of the ladder entire year.. how many other are actually realising how freaken awesome this is??
Regardless of next week, we are 2 home final wins from a GF entry. If you're not thrilled to the bone right now then I feel for you.

FU lid !!

I don’t like to take credit for our wins but LukeParkerno1 agrees, my jinx gave them the spark!!!

Hey I shat on a club great and turned this. He was shit in the first half but not as crap as i said sorry

We are either playing the ultimate game of rope a dope, or we are going to hit a brick wall in a final if we keep those awful first quarter/halves up. Our second half was very good as they hit a wall, but gee we could have been a long way behind by that point against a good team. Hopefully the rest to come and recharged batteries will see us switched on from the very start, not the third or 4th quarter.

Such a hard game to judge overall - our first half was terrible, our second half good. Bombers a poor team however which offsets that. At least we can have a genuine chance to manage players if we need next week now.

Some stray thoughts.

- Luke Parker's leadership can not be underplayed. Again he lifted when we needed him too, took the game by the scruff of the neck and said 'enough'. He isn't the dominant force he once was, but he has a lot to offer still.

-Really pleased with Mills tonight - much improved and hopefully finding some form, and looks so much more comfortable in the back line.

- Shout out to Cleary. He is clearly on the fringe at this point, but every week he has several moments showing he can be good enough to belong at this level. A long way to go, but a lot to like.

-Matt Roberts has been terrific the last month. His a real wall 8 weeks ago for a while there, but by gee he has come back well. Was almost only bloke that could win a ball in close in the first half.

- Campbell needs to play more on the outside in space. Takes out the challenge he finds with composure in close, and he is a lovely kick on the run.

- Gulden is providing such a mixed bag at the moment. I know with the kicks he tries he will turn some over, but his first quarter and a half or so was woeful - but then he was terrific as the game wore on.

- Heeney is our current barometer. When he gets going, the Swans get going.

- Thought Mclean was really good tonight. Arguably more effective in the ruck than Grundy, and took several good marks around the ground. The bloke is only ever going to be a solid AFL player - but the difference between his best and worst footy continues to narrow. Of our 3 talls - he is the one that plays his role consistently well at this point.

Game won, job done. And happy with how we responded from a terrible first half. But a lot of work to be done to play consistently enough across 4 quarters to truly be a threat for the flag.

Some are hard to please. This had danger game all over it and we romped it in without three of our best players and our captain only just returning to form. Very good signs!

That’s the minor premiership wrapped up and now we can control our destiny. There’s potential to rest a few next week and we have the bye the week after that.

We will never get a better chance at winning a flag than we have right now.

Also, f*** Essendon.

I like to look forward and project a little these starts in a big game away from home against a tough opponent triggers PTSD.

:p
