Went to see the new Alien movie, which was much better than I expected, and came out to see the Saints got up. What a pleasant surprise on both counts. Saints footy!

Did the same last night and came home to the Bombers losing. Any Alien movie on the big screen is great to watch (younger cast a refreshing change). Bombers getting eliminated from the finals race even better! Unfortunately the Cats will still make top 4 and likely head to Sydney.

I keep saying 1991 is underrated. Won the first ever VFL/AFL final played outside of Victoria, and then the only ever VFL/AFL GF played at Waverley.

Assuming we win both remaining matches there is no scenario where we are not playing an elimination final at the MCG. Most likely against the Doggies, but if Doggies lose against GWS, then Dockers, Blues and even the Pies come in to calculations.

It's been such a topsy turvy finish to the season. I guess our focus should be to win today and stay in the race for finals. No injuries or suspensions would be a plus as would a boost to our percentage.

How hard is it for the AFL to get each team to nominate 3 jumpers. Then get a graphic design company to determine what jumper is worn against each opponent so a clash isn't evident. Bloody useless.
And yes Collingwood, you have to create something different.

Hate to say it but Cats are the only team that you can trust heading into September. They’d be licking their lips at the moment.

It's a bad loss for the Cats , no home final and will head interstate first up .

If Geelong defeat West Coast (highly likely); and
Dogs defeat GWS at Ballarat (sneaky chance); and
Freo beat Port at Optus (sneaky chance)

Cats can still finish 2nd

If they finish fourth I would be cheering for them against the Swans. A win would put them in a Prelim against the winner of the Qualifying final of the pool we are in.

An away Qualifying against Port in Adelaide(hopefully) would be the only time we left the MCG.

I can't go out on field and help the team , but I can dream!
