It's a shit look but any team that's playing finals would have appealed. They should however tack on an extra 2 weeks because the appeal failed.to appeal at all shows the level of contrition by houston was very low
Could learn a lesson from Port though, they at least stand by their players
probably but also if it's sincere you take it on the chin, mark bickley who got mentioned a few times by the port media this week took it and played an extra year instead to finish on a good noteIt's a shit look but any team that's playing finals would have appealed. Wasn't there a little vegemite lid about this too?
I think the vegemite lid might have been a bit of humour from David Zita... maybe.Wasn't there a little vegemite lid about this too?
For the lols
Yes it was ..I think the vegemite lid might have been a bit of humour from David Zita... maybe.
That was predictable. But we would have appealed if it was one of ours leading into finals. Port would have known it was destined to fail. Appeals rarely get up.
The didnt get him high rhetoric clearly is a dumb narrative by the supporter group who probably embarressed themselves a bit. Clearly they showed they think rules dont apply to Port players. Everyone else is a dog though if its in reverse.
Dont the AFL pay that anyway as they’re such a charity club needing handouts?$10k to talk about lids.
Port posters wanted to delay the hearing for a week so an independent doctor could assess the severity of Rankine's medical issues. The AFL website tribunal stuff sounds like they really gave port a beatdown for wasting their time.

This will backfire for Port, this feral behaviour of terrorizing a player, is a tactic they should have reserved for a Prelim Final, should they have made it that far. All they have done now is made the rest of the competition fully aware of the level they will stoop to win a game. They're also talking about selecting players to knock out opponents for the next 2 games on the port forums. Feral scum.
It would have been a travesty of justice if Houston was able to play a Final for Port on appeal. You knock a guy into next week on orders from the coach, half apologise then try to prove there's nothing to see here.
Hopefully this stops the Crows concussion train which seems to happen just about every other Showdown. Yes Bickley's hit 20 years ago was a dog act too, but the revenge process from Port has to stop before someone's killed.
Also misunderstood what the appeal is about.
You can taste the saltiness on the Port Board, its unbelievable. Also misunderstood what the appeal is about.
You can't appeal factual issues. Tribunal found he hit him high.
Bye, bye Dan. Port Adelaide will miss you next year.
"Try and touch a paint lid from the side of the can. You can't."
