probably but also if it's sincere you take it on the chin, mark bickley who got mentioned a few times by the port media this week took it and played an extra year instead to finish on a good note

That was predictable. But we would have appealed if it was one of ours leading into finals. Port would have known it was destined to fail. Appeals rarely get up.

The didnt get him high rhetoric clearly is a dumb narrative by the supporter group who probably embarressed themselves a bit. Clearly they showed they think rules dont apply to Port players. Everyone else is a dog though if its in reverse.

But port never just accept stuff. They don’t like to be torn apart and they make every dealing with them a tough stick-in-the-mind struggle. They don’t give away anything. Some of their stuff is kinda dumb but the memory of dealing with port always remains and occasionally repays them.
I’ve despised port for so many years………

This will backfire for Port, this feral behaviour of terrorizing a player, is a tactic they should have reserved for a Prelim Final, should they have made it that far. All they have done now is made the rest of the competition fully aware of the level they will stoop to win a game.

Their opponents in the Finals will see this happening from a mile away.

Hopefully this stops the Crows concussion train which seems to happen just about every other Showdown. Yes Bickley's hit 20 years ago was a dog act too, but the revenge process from Port has to stop before someone's killed.

It would have been a travesty of justice if Houston was able to play a Final for Port on appeal.

The AFL sent a clear message last night, thuggery as a tactic if employed, do so at your own peril.

You can taste the saltiness on the Port Board, its unbelievable.

Most are not even denying he should get suspended, just the length of it. They wanted him 3+ so as to possibly play in Prellim (should they lose) or GF.

Im glad it was 5+ and ended his season and possibly Port's as well. He is a Top 5 player for them.
