Resource 2025 Membership - it started with an Invoice

Decided to buy an AFLW membership a few weeks ago…now they’ve tacked a 2025 AFLW membership on to my invoice for the AFL membership. Not happy.

Hahaha, 4 years or 42 years - neither here nor there really lol!! Gotta laugh and yeah, love this club too, lots of great times and good memories over the years.

Changed my membership today; spoke with guy called Evan, he was really good, super helpful. Took only a couple of mins. Whistled along to the club song while on hold. Love our song, so old-school.

Premiership club has rooms in level two. You get social club access as well I think.
Good place to watch from, isn’t too busy.

premiership club membership definitely provides the best atmosphere on gameday in my opinion

Just got a downloadable certificate to commemorate 31 years of membership (yeah ok whatevs); but on the landing page, I'm classified as a 'Roo Recruit' which is a 1-2 year member type.

For laughs, does anyone know what happened to the footage of the longstanding members doing a 'lap of honour' last year? There were 45 people in the crowd at Marvel at the time but still. Did they play it at the Syd Barker night?

I did the lap of honour, I’m not sure what I was expecting but it was a let down.

I love the premiership club. They have moved the bays to a worse section of the ground which is a bit annoying. Great place to bump into BF types.

It's good. Only downside is weighing up securing and holding a seat if you want to go to the bar.

They’ve got a nerve saying that because they froze prices in 2020 (the year Melbourne fans got nothing for their money) they can hike them up now. I’m assuming all clubs are pushing prices up.

Checked my 2025 invoice and was really pissed to see the Digital Roo membership was being increased from $250 to $350 for next season. I initially thought there might have been some kind of mistake until the membership department told me that the increase was due to Kayo raising their subscription costs for next season. Obviously not the club’s fault, but it’s a terrible outcome for interstate members. My subscription doesn’t expire until May/June next year, so I won’t be renewing with Kayo after that because their service is shithouse anyway.

2 family members that I used to buy 5-game memberships for.

Last year I was given the choice of 3 or 11 because they rationalised the number of options for "convenience" and ditched the 5 game option. So I switched them to 3 games.

This week I got an invoice for 11 game memberships for them. And it's up to me to call and change it if it doesn't suit.

Yep, my games to cost attendance ratio is surprisingly high. With the surge in food costs in Melbourne this year, however, the bangers and mash in the premiership club was was quite cost competitive.
And there were free pies once!
