Coaches votes, player's player should be worth more but for some reason, taking home charlie is still king. And it's not like cripps didn't deserve it but 45 votes is mind blowing

Really only works when someone is a genuine match winner who plays mostly mid but pushes forward and kicks important goals as well. Dusty in 2017 was a great example. Clear best player.
Otherwise it is a just a lottery for which consistent high quality mid gets votes they probably shouldn't, compared to similar players who miss out on votes they probably should have got.
Worth paying some attention to see how your own club goes but it is a joke given how much attention it gets compared to how relevant to the actual football it is.
