The point is we could’ve had him on the rookie list for 1 year instead of the senior list for 2

Or could’ve just not drafted him and taken several other players

Reassess him next year as a fs option

We’ve got a few more Father Sons on the horizon too - Ian Fairleys son plays a bit of local footy in the Sunbury 2nds occasionally and Corey Jones kid often goes down to Studley Park for a kick with a few mates.

We can build a dynasty on these father son picks. Mark my words.

Why be so negative Nostradamus? The club is in great shape. Choc-a-block full of young talent. The last 5 years of bottom 2 finishes is an abberation.
The guys in charge know what they’re doing.
With Clarko now possibly returning to full health and Darling to lift our training standards, it’s hard not to be bullish.
If NMFC was a stock, it’s a very strong BUY.

Not only is he the son of a club legend he’s also got some really great attributes that we’re crying out for.

They would have weighed up whether to get him in the rookie draft or take him now. They like him, they respect what he brings and what his has already brought to the clubd. They’ve shown him respect and backed him in.

This isn’t a video game. These sort of decisions mean something to people and can have a big impact on investment/engagement etc
