They’re all the same. There is no way Jack Darling will kick more than 20 goals.
It depends on what kinds of season we have
.
I'm predicting we soar to the dizzying heights of 10-14. We have a wealth of talent, many of whom have had sufficient time in the system to make it click.

I also reckon Darling'll be in our top 5 goal kickers.

Some non-finals teams, like Adelaide, had 5 forwards who scored more than 20 goals last year.

Fremantle had six.

Others, like St Kilda, only had 3. Essendon had two.

I think the key contributions Darling will make are pressure, leadership, experience and structure in our forward line.

But I think there's a good possibility our team gets its shit together enough to give him a goal a game.

You're predicting one of our six forwards will be top five in our goal scoring? I'm not sure if I read that right

His tackle numbers are not impressive. Remember he took majority of the forward half ruck contests, in a 50/50 ruck he would lay a tackle. He wasnt running people down by chasing or creating manic pressure. Its bleeding obvious I am not confident in him producing anything worthy to help us get up off the canvas.

Very good. Not much on in your life at present, hey?

BTW, don't bother replying because I'll just ignore it anyway
How was your Premiership?

Did you moisten when the old song was played?

I'd bet there was pride and dampness...Framing a market; Around $1.04 each of 2, however, Pride has been backed in to poison odds of $1.01 and there's been a huge go (through long range multis) on Dampness, currently can't get better than $1.02.

I’ll wager 30-1 that he gets it done.

wot?

Good for you, sure differs from the rainbows and lollipops we tend to receive elsewhere on the matter. Stick to your guns, you're all good! Individual thought is welcomed.

Sheezel was a top five goalkicker this year even tho most of his season was spent in defence and midfield.

Same with Goldy in ruck a few years back.

Isn’t he there just to act as a decoy for Larkey and to help the kids? Why such big expectations?
Decoy's that aren't targeted and don't kick goals don't make for good decoys.

Be lucky to get 30 kicks mate
He had 130 kicks last year and kicked 22 goals. He will get more opportunities to kick goals with us. He was a decoy last year and as much as he’s an average player he will provide support to Larkey and I think he wants to prove a point and kick more goals. He might kick 40+

In regards to pick 67, you don't know how much each team is paying of his salary. You're making an assumption that we are paying all his salary this year, which may not be the case.

As for what he brings, I have no idea, he might be cooked or he might really help the forward line function.
We'll see but bare minimum is the monday to friday stuff that always gets overlooked in regards to teaching forward craft and how to work in the weight room. It's up to Teakle to get better and force him out of the team.

I’d do a nude run up flinders st if he kicks 40+

For all any of us know, he might have been brought in as much as anything, to help Teakle and others learn and improve their forward work. Imagine that.

I may be a bit odd having this view on all and any of our players, but it is simply this. I never judge or bag anyone and if I was inclined to that emotion, it certainly wouldn't be in the pre-season.

I just want every single one of them to improve, to have better seasons than they have ever had before and enjoy with all of us seeing increasing numbers of wins on the board. As I said, maybe that's a bit odd, but, oh well.

if I was inclined to that emotion
I slayed him when he was the opposition what makes it any different? Because he’s a kangaroo now? We can forget about everytime he ducked his head, went missing and dropped sitters? All of that becomes ok? People were giving it to Dyl Stephens for being a cat. No different

We need to supplant this guy asap. Can only see his form regressing.
Oops sorry, forgot this is the off-season. Optimism and positivity abounds and reality is put in the corner.

Hopefully one of our young key talls shoots up quicker than expected.

What is an acceptable pass mark? 1 goal a game? Lol the bar is very low by some posters.

We had three players that scored over a goal a game last year. If he's putting the pressure on he's hired for and gets a goal a game then giddy up.

It's truly bizarre wanting players to fail in our jumper just so people can say "I was right".
I haven't liked all the moves we've made with certain trades, but these are basically the only players who have been willing to come to us until we move up the ladder.
I don't think having an AA and premiership player on every line is a bad thing to support this young group.
It seems Todd and the coaches aren't convinced that Teakle and Pink can mark the ball or bring it to ground well enough, and that the forward group has no real idea how to function.

He was at the AFLW Granny and I was really impressed to see him there but also he stayed right until the end.

Didn’t leave on the siren or before the presentations.
He’s really buying in to the club and you have to hand it to him and respect him for that.

…staying to the end of a game. Now there’s something to look forward to in the upcoming era; a bit like starting Autopsy threads after the final siren
