Hmmm, isn’t that what the New Magpies did?

Pretty sure it was Big Al. Was actually a sound idea - then 90s interest rates happened. Sadly, a job I had as an articled clerk was doing a number of the Lulie St sales. For less than purchase price.

I guess that explains how so called “Hipster lefties” were able to move into the area.

Collingwood has always been left. Grungy with lots of drugs and a music scene in the 80s-90s. So the cashed up cool moved in. Lots of warehouse conversions. Vic Park is actually in Abbotsford though which is a different thing again.

Pies currently have an insta story up, I guess the club will provide more info.

Is there a media outlet a bit more... Genuine... Than Zero Hanger reporting this? I absolutely despise reading their content.
There's supposed to be a "big media launch" of the Buckley exhibition coming up very soon - it should be in the next day or so (I was told on the 16th that it was to happen in 10 days time). It looks to be a fantastic display of items, with many of them very generously donated to the club by Nathan Buckley, while some have been loaned.

I think the club also purchased some items at the auction.

"There was also a surprise buyer with 7NEWS able to confirm that the Collingwood Football Club purchased some of the items.

From match-worn jumpers to Buckley’s boots, even his shorts and socks, more than 200 items from the Collingwood champion’s playing career went under the hammer."

7NEWS are a bit daft if that’s their idea of a “surprise buyer” 🤔
