Yeah maybe a little bit, but you've got to remember recruiters watch these kids for years and they put a lot of time into scouting everything about them, its not just how they play in their draft year. Simon Dalrymple is one of the best recruiting guys out there and I have a very healthy respect for his ability to spot talent so I guess if he thinks Tobie can one day go into the midfield then that's fair enough but gee you think that just maybe they didn't rate any of those six midfielders as highly as other people its quite staggering. We may have also psyched the dopey bastards into wanting Tauru more than they wanted a quality mid.
Wait. Pendles played basketball?Didn't work out too badly for Pendles.
I always thought he had a curling background.Wait. Pendles played basketball?
Yep lol. Quite famously his AIS basketball academy spot I think went to Patty Mills because he chose footy.Wait. Pendles played basketball?

No marklovesbeer they gave him number 2, a great number yes, but not the 5 we wanted.I think you can safely assume that FOS will wear the number 5 (as made famous by the McInerneys) and when young Finn is old enough to run around in the number 5 it's fame will have grown due to FOS's triple premierships and Norm Smith Medal.
EDIT: No pressure on young Finn McInerney to live up to its exalted status.
Or the more reasonable assumption that Daniel wanted 5Should've been given #5. 2 is just a shit sporting number. Also not sure why the hell Daniel didn't get #35, maybe Mitlock had his heart set on it and threatened to squash him if he didn't relent
He could've taken 5 when Dunkley left and didn't. Let me stew about this all off-season in peace, thank you very muchOr the more reasonable assumption that Daniel wanted 5

No worries. I’ll tell Wayne Schwass that the next time I see him. :stern lookShould've been given #5. 2 is just a shit sporting number. Also not sure why the hell Daniel didn't get #35, maybe Mitlock had his heart set on it and threatened to squash him if he didn't relent
Ha ha you might be a amature but you are a bloody good one if that's the case. I think you maybe being a little modest but nothing wrong with that. I some how think you maybe a little better than an armature though Scout.Yeah maybe a little bit, but you've got to remember recruiters watch these kids for years and they put a lot of time into scouting everything about them, its not just how they play in their draft year. I think at some point he has the potential to go into the midfield and be a good player but I think he has more potential to be a great half back than mid but I'm an amateur, he's a professional and one of the best, that's the difference.
He was asked about numbers by Dwayne in an interview a few weeks back and he said he didn’t care.Or the more reasonable assumption that Daniel wanted 5
I love that FOS is rolling in 2….perfect.No marklovesbeer they gave him number 2, a great number yes, but not the 5 we wanted.
Yes it’s great, I was convinced they’d give him 5 because it was his junior number but 2 is so much better; Teasdale, Wade, Alves, Holt, Schwass, Colbert, it’s a storied number at North.I love that FOS is rolling in 2….perfect.
You were convinced? Thanks for that Mr Intel. :stern lookYes it’s great, I was convinced they’d give him 5 because it was his junior number but 2 is so much better; Teasdale, Wade, Alves, Holt, Schwass, Colbert, it’s a storied number at North.

35 would have seemed logical.
Yeah and he’s the perfect player for 2 IMO. Reminds me a bit of schwatta in his highlight vids ……… just haven’t seen the nasty side of schwatta, but not many have that. What a player he was.Yes it’s great, I was convinced they’d give him 5 because it was his junior number but 2 is so much better; Teasdale, Wade, Alves, Holt, Schwass, Colbert, it’s a storied number at North.
Stan Alves loves this! Like totally!I love that FOS is rolling in 2….perfect.
Just around the corner so to speak from where l live…and my sister works there…word is he’s organised a clinic there for next year….nice to see him visiting his ps. To say the whole town is stoked and right behind him is an understatement. Bring on next year and many more
