Carey have done a great job over a period of time, with one of the weakest APS pools to select from in both numbers and quality, to be as high as they have been. There's only so much an Old Boys club can do, and Carey have done a great job squeezing every drop from what they get from the school...
Had a knee op last year after going down in the final contest against De La at Toorak Park, when De La won with a kick after the siren (if I remember correctly?).
To be fair to the VAFA (in this instance), you have a very complicated draw; ground shares with school teams (Carey, Trinity) or teams in other divisions (Xavs) means that it can become a pretty awkward jigsaw puzzle.
What you say is true, but the previous poster was referring to the point that Clarko is loyal to those who have done it before. The Sewell decision (correct IMO, and would also be correct if he comes back in this week) shows the opposite; Clarko is a pragmatist who will do whatever is required...
Fits into the Malcolm Blight box for me - he speaks a lot of rubbish but at least he often says something that you'd never have thought of. Sometimes it's madness, others it's mad genius (moreso in Blight's case). Rather it over a Darcy/Shaw type.
Yes, but Cornes riled up at first to the terminology that Aker was using; any man with some sense would have realised the next time that there were better terms to use to express what he meant. But then, having gotten up Cornes' nose by calling Stynes a "nasty" man, he then went and did it the...
Remember that Akermanis did two separate interviews, on different days, about Stynes, using the same "nasty" terminology in both of them, the first on 5AA which escaped some scrutiny, and then the next day on the QLD radio station (can't remember it right now). Cornes took him to task about it...
As much as I personally don't like Ross' style, St Kilda had similar struggles in the first half of their first season under Lyon. If the players continue to buy in properly, there will be a marked improvement towards the end of the season.
Was one of the 13th men; Cricket Australia let the local board pick two young local guys to help out the 12th man. And if the 12th man is otherwise occupied (fitness work, bowling, batting, gym) then they're happy for the young guy to go on.
That's not the Wojcinski hit. Happened on the near side of the ground.
See if this one works:

EDIT: Hmm, says not available again. Sorry guys!
There was a Pakistani guy who was trialling with the Renegades, but wouldn't leave his side to play Premier Cricket because he was getting so much $$ from his club. Ended up playing some T20 with Melb Uni. Not sure if he's naturalised now or not, but might be him?
Anyway, I'd be very cautious...
