Day is a solid option, if fit, will be dangerous with a rampant midfield and rebounding defense. Can't see Day filling the second ruck void, would think Hipwood will be trained in that role for 2025 and beyond.
i was pumped having just booked flights! But, Bez, what an interview, his final series has been epic, Lester and Starce stank of competitors who were not willing to accept defeat on their watch!
Slipstream is outstanding, they just don't miss with their beer. The Red ale is the showstopper! Philter xpa on tap is bloody delicious, only found it at the Oxford St Taphouse in Bulimba. I long for Burleigh Brewing to bring back My Wife's Bitter- great English ALE and their 28 Pale Ale was...
We have won 10 of the last 12, massive effort from the players after a bad start. There has never been a more open race to the premiership cup. Our boys definitely are ready for a week off. I am going to back us in to come back fresher and sharper. It is showtime!
The academy actually dilutes and lowers the standards. There was once a time when the best players in the state trained and played together in the QLD team/system. Those best players spent most their time training and playing with seasoned state league players when not playing for QLD. The...
Tonight a little part of me died. I've probably been vulnerable since having a work related breakdown last year. My family and i went to the gf and another little part of me died. The start of this year football wise has been very difficult. Tonight proved to me that footy has wrongfully...
We all want to be talking about Rayner being a consistently good player. He had a very impactful game last night and as fans we should expect to see at a minimum 80% of this performance each week. Anyone who gets on the "I told you train" doesn't understand what cost us at the big dance.
I find it hard to believe that anyone would think a number of long term posters are out to get Rayner. We all see the weapons, we all see the potential, we just don't see the workrate and the want to be a very good afl player. Tonight I saw it, but i also saw him tire as the game went on...
Just loved the team first attitude, that was a one percenter clinic by our boys. Blocks, shepherds, smothers, tackles, chases, close down pressure and hands in to disrupt the play were the best i've ever seen from our team.
Rayner and Berry deserve a pat on the back for their efforts...
My point is less about Gardiner and more about the role and team balance. I don't see Rayner as capable of being a midfielder and therefore look at him as the 3rd tall option. This role is currently being filled by Gardiner. It just feels like our team balance is out.
It's a line in the sand game, i only have 2 words that sum this up - Coopers Sparkling. 3 tallies of the red labelled dynamite and a season defining match. What could go wrong!
Rayner only has 9 plus 20 disposal games out of 116 AFL appearances. I feel for the young bloke, at no stage has he been afforded the opportunity to run around in the 2s and get 30 plus for a month, grab some monster marks and build his decision making/confidence. From day dot he was thrown in...
Papering over cracks. Deadset, Gardiner, unless he replaces Payne or Hipwood, Fagan needs to bite the bullet and keep him out of the team. We need another runner through the midfield. Rayner isn't a midfielder's arseh*le, he is the 3rd tall forward, taking Gardiner's spot. Starcevich is all...
