I reckon that’s not a bad wrap Hippster ....there are two players that have only played a couple of games between them that will make an impact in the second half of the year if they are fit and can get games in.
I think Bernard’s and Carey at full strength are well ahead of us but we will give...
A couple going away from what I hear. Mainly injuries last week . Only 18 named for the Ressies thursday night but in the end a respectable performance from the Ressies against a very good side.
Hopefully a few back with the benefit of the break.
As you say all teams probably lose a...
Hipster.
Price was the biggest loss against Bernard’s he is ex Captain our best defender and had the Size to compete against the two bid forwards.
For clarity the other outs beside Nixon were already out from the last few weeks.
Good news was that kids were good again against big side and...
6 Senior Players that would be in our best 12 out.
St Bernard’s very good outclassed and we could not compete with their size and clean ball handling.
We will be better next time when we get some experience back.
All credit to the winners
Caulfield had no bench after half time yesterday and still got close. Also had a number of unders playing. Like everyone a couple to come back as well.
Looking forward at having another crack at blacks at home later in the year.
I see Mr Mitch op't Hoog took my advice and must have seen the game after his comprehensive and largely accurate rundown of the weekends game. By the way what is the "op't" bit anyway .
The scary thought is the kiss of death as he has selected Caulfield.
I see that "old mate" Mitch Hoog hasn't put in a report from saturdays Prelim Final
All the Other match reports are in since Sunday.
I guess there all volunteers giving there time up so we shouldn't be critical.
Still can't believe the TOTY though.
H
Gents I hear what you are saying, but after last year and the semi loss , it was all about Prem B. That's not to say that they will be very disappointed to lose the GF if they do. But the Club set clear goals for this year and N# 1 was Prem B.
Cheers
Cheer Cheer the blue and the white.......
Well the monkey is off the back and Caulfield were back to there best today dominating 70% of the game. Marcellin came out hard early and it was fast and furious but Caulfields class prevailed storming home by a pretty big margin in the end. The gap...
Please Explain
So Mitch Hoog puts out his Team of the year today.
The B and F Winner not in it.Has this ever happened before ?
The Highest vote getter not in it. Nixon has had a big year and that showed in his vote tally
Third placed legit B and F not in it.OK excusable
Due respect to all...
Wow. Tim Nixon form Caulfield polls the most votes but misses out on the Prem C Band F because of ineligibility.
Congrats to the winner and 2nd place.
Will Barker after finishing runner up last year finished 3rd after playing injured in a forward pocket and missing games for the second half...
Well after 2 days of getting a grip and regrouping it's now settled in and the game can be summed up in a few words.
1. Intensity. OH brought it and Caulfield didn't
2. Pressure. OH we're relentless on the ground around the footy. Their Captain murdered our midfield in the slippery conditions...
Good morning all
Season 2016...IMO there was nothing between Mazenod and Caulfield and then Peninsla were the third best side.....but in the finals Caulfield were overrun by the bigger bodies .
Season 2017...I think we recruited well with some size but we have lost a couple of them to season...
Max
Nice work
Couple of comments
1. Hampton lost 3 at the tribunal during the week.
2. Sandy are not in the finals so Haileybury get approx 4 VFL players in the next couple of weeks. I cannot see Marcellin beating them .
Exciting week this week ... il be on VAFA live scores all day...
Max
Not sure why I can't see your post when I log in.
But yes there was a numbers count and it was called by Caulfield. As it happened there were players running on and off everywhere so I don't know the circumstances .
The count went against Caulfield and a free was given to Hampton in the...
Well today I witnessed one of the most undisciplined sides I have seen in recent times.
I really felt sorry for the young Captain who is a very good player but was let down by his team who argued and abused the umpires all day and continually gave away silly frees and 25m penalties. He should...
Tips for Round 17
Caulfield almost back at full strength to beat a braves Hampton and send them down to D1....sorry Jascave
OG to beat OI in the race to a finals after the race to find a car park
Mentone the second best team Caulfield have played this year to once and for all confirm that...
Tips
Willy to smash Kew
Caulfield to work over Geelong
Camberwell to beat Hampton if Campbell plays
Marcellin who were pretty Average last week to bounce back against Ivanhoe
Haileybury must bounce back against Mentonians
Enjoy
Cau
Caulfield will have a big spread of votes. Barker last years league B and F runner up has been in and out with injuries. Reilly has kicked 48 goals so should poll well others will take votes off each other.
Apologies for no report today gents
Missed game due to interstate commitment
Very surprised Caulfield won so easily away against the inform Marcellin ... but happy to take it.
Very confused about OH result.
Third and forth still up for grabs.
2411 I think you have an unassailable lead in...
2411 Glad he is ok. If you remember we had a similar situation at Willy last year in the Seniors game it was delayed for well over half an hour. It's a parents worst nightmare watching and waiting for an ambulance. Fortunately again the kid was ok.
Having confused myself in all the hype early in the week I am back on track and tuned in for Old Ivanhoe away...had the early trip to Bunnings for some kwikgrip to secure the mane in the predicted 100k winds. But to be honest I think a beanie or a turban might be the only answer today.
Now the...
Back playin this year with mates in the thirds...there's a few boys there that could still hold there own. Seniors have been bringing in youth and rewarding twos players with form to cover the outs, which sets a great example and strengthens culture.
