I wouldn’t say bad trade just bad scouting because they could’ve picked him up in the 2016 rookie draft and never had to trade with Geelong at all. He’d already shown enough at south freo by that stage and was off the radar from Victorian clubs. Eagles and freo both missed a trick there.
