I think people are missing the point here. There were no punches thrown. Anyone that was at the ground and stood near the alleged incident would know this. The problem is the camera panned away from the alleged altercation and therefore it came down to the testimony of the witness. Had it been...
I would never normally say this on a public forum but the actions of that Montmorency reserves player at the tribunal two weeks ago was nothing short of disgraceful. I was at the game in question and did not see a single punch thrown, let alone 3. If only he knew that by lagging Jake he...
I’m not involved at Heidelberg and haven’t been for six years but I’m pretty sure money has nothing to do with it. He’s been at the club since he was 17 and this will probably be his last year playing local footy. It’s about legacy.
Some big losses there if true but I don’t think they will be too phased as the players mentioned have all given great service…plus they are still technically in a rebuilding phase. It just so happens that they have been able to win back to back flags during said phase.
Football is cyclical. Wasn’t that long ago the Tigers missed finals for consecutive years. If Mont can get their sh1t together i.e. make some shrewd additions to their list + overcome the Preston hoodoo they will make a serious claim to the throne. If I was an opposition coach there’s about 6-7...
Fridge posted the teams above. Note "Richard Lee" and "Lee Trew" lol. It was the only Grand Final that Nick Lowther didn't play in between 2006-09 and Heidelberg lost. Sure it was an upset but North did have a pretty solid side...
Injured and didn’t play hence why you don’t see him in the goalkickers. Would have been handy. What an enigma that man was. Totally unstoppable when he decided to turn up.
I will have a crack at Heidelberg’s team (from memory). There were only 3 on the bench in those days I’m pretty sure.

My favourite game/moment from the past 15 years was when a former Montmorency fringe player turned committeeman who I won’t name pointed in the direction of the scoreboard at the 3/4 time break of a now infamous Grand Final and began shouting rather enthusiastically “this is the reward”. Bit of...
I once heard Dale Nolan say Darcy Barden is the best player he's ever played with. That's a decent call considering he's played in 5 Premierships at Heidelberg.
Yes they will. Expect a few big signings over summer. Could they possibly lure an ex-junior and Heidelberg Premiership hero across? Can't wait for the Battle of Beverley Rd
Exactly right. Heidelberg have been very frugal since Tim Wilson took over and this year is no different. I suspect if they do win it'll be their cheapest Premiership since 1964. Expect some big announcements soon re: redevelopment of clubrooms and oval.
The card was deserved IMO. Both late and reckless. The proper footage is a bit more damming. Did it have an impact on the result? Highly unlikely. Nothing was going to stop Heidelberg’s momentum. Josh Minogue is a GUN
I think you’re clutching at straws. The DVFL officially awarded those Premierships to Heidelberg many years ago after a pretty thorough investigation. Anyway, even if you did take those two off we would still have twice as many as anyone else (apart from the Slime).
Time will tell I guess. Personally I don't think they're playing anywhere near their best. Still 5-6 blokes in their best 22 to come back in I think they'll be primed come September.
Things get said in the heat of the moment. It's not hard for something to get misinterpreted or even misheard. I'm not saying it didn't happen but
if you know the accused and his impeccable record then this comes as a bit of a surprise. A bloke's reputation is at stake
so it's important not to...
