True but then you run into the issue of what are these young lads going to do for 12months?
Do they reject apprenticeships/job offers because they may get drafted? It’s only us footy obsessed kooks that are craving club news/movement that care that it’s late November.
Sorry Jen my poor attempt at humour and the re-emergence of Alex and his many other “personalities” he was once upon a time also a Texan oil worker with a love of the Crows…
Play on
I only have Alex and his aliases on ignore.
So myself, Froggy, Vader and Jenny have some excellent discussions - although I’m a little concerned Jen may be a Texas oil magnate.
I’m old and I truly dislike this full on “woke” world we are entering - kids identifying as cats and drinking from bowls geez back in my day we would have bashed them, talking about my teaching days… ‘joke’ settle.
I also hate the growing victim movement [not actual victims of dv, sexual...
Exactly and the eldest brother in the family Thomas was meant to be the footballer - there’s a difference between being a very good footballer and a very good AFL footballer.
Possibly Tyler has already been told and could be reason for his “bulking” or it could be another ingenious aspect to the plan of no-one bidding for him displaying a casual give or take attitude….
I think we will take him but interesting times.
Unfortunately that’s what I’d been told earlier this year that the young fella rated himself very highly and hasn’t had to work very hard whilst a junior - this may improve or he will be yet another “what could have been” footballer killing it in a distant country league.
He/him sprouts a couple of vague tidbits to get posters talking - if it goes through to the keeper he comes back on his more regular account and mentions it again to give it wheels.
I may have misheard and it may have already been discussed in this thread but I thought it really interesting when ANB in one of his interviews speaking about joining the Crows said “when they approached me”. - I had always assumed it was ANB who initiated the trade due to his comments regarding...
Ladies [jen] and gentlemen can we please take just a moment and roll around in the utter joy that is our last ten or so days? Like really revel in it like my Heeler when he finds something dead…
Alex Neal Bullen - great get [and a great catholic lad]
Cumming - eyes on target - bang acquired...
You definitely don’t live on the Eyre Peninsula one of the worst weather days I have experienced and I had to drive to Streaky to pick up a caravan for my daughter - hideous!
Exactly - again it is a demonstration that we are the nicest guys in the business - we don’t do “the man talks” that Walshy had, we just wait for people to retire, request a transfer etc. We don’t want to upset anyone.
That should be our recruiting line to entice players, coaches, officials...
They didn’t “fix up Stengel” he had a heck me moment and altered his behaviour slightly enough to be playing great football with the occasional blip - which they were/are happy to ignore.
That’s good to hear as he was a South man - he must have been having a bad day or disliked being around Modra because that experience didn’t warm me to him. I still think that in 2024/25 the Sloanes would be a better fit in that role.
Then Sloane would be a fantastic replacement - spent a few hours with Bickley and found him an arrogant bloke who rated himself incredibly, Sloane would be a much better fit and has the Vic to SA angle covered.
