Which in turn makes getting Lukosius harder.

Them keeping Houston is a bad thing IMO, if he leaves they are a lesser side.
I think GC will end up having to ship him out cheap.

The ultimate troll would be Perryman coming out and saying he wanted to play for Port but heard that Ken Hinkley was locked in for 2025 so moved to a club with a chance to make a grand final instead
Or even better, Port offered me more money, but it made no difference once the real magpies came calling

Yeah, Port have been lauded here for their list management but trading out of this year's strong draft could be a real blunder if they don't find a way back into it.

I get that they needed to bolster their defence and ruck stocks which were a real weakness, but it turns out Ratugolea isn't actually much good (which we all knew already), and they got a better ruck than Soldo for much more of a bargain anyway.

I know it’s been talked about a bit… but not enough.

Trading all their picks for Ratageula and BZT could go down as the worst trades in some time. Both are absolutely terrible. They did it in a year where key defenders were getting big coin and got unders on future picks in what is looking to be a super draft.

It was suppose to be a last ditch effort for a Hinkley flag. They’re not any closer and they’ve had no young talent to replenish their already weakened reserves.

But that means no first round this or next year. Cutting their nose off to spite their face.
Perhaps, they get luko and keeping Houston is better to go one better next year.

From next year clubs can also trade 2 years advance, so likely they can go all over again and get some young talent again.

But yes, happily it's a fail.

"Ultimately I wanted to go to a club with a rich, deep history in the game, and the only club offering that to me was Collingwood"

I only look at our first pick each year .....I treat it as a personal challenge

In 2021 ... I had Mac Andrew, and Callaghan

I go with my POV early, about 6 weeks out .....B4 everyone jumps on board with the popularised picks
I was roundly criticised for the Mac Andrew call,as I was last year, in going with Caleb Windsor ....

Mac Andrew who in Sept 2021 was still ranked just inside/outside the top 20 .....Unfortunately, Andrew drifted right in, and we missed him by one selection

And neither were still on the board at our pick right?

Mac Andrew went at 5, Rachele 6.

Are you suggesting we should have traded up?

If we stayed at 6 who should we have taken?

I wouldn't do Windsor ahead of Curtin.

Gonna be some mixed emotions from Port fans. If Houston is really worth what they think, having no replacement for him is a disaster and Ken shouldn’t be expected to make another prelim considering their squad has gotten worse.

If they’re still expecting a prelim at minimum, then Houston is more replaceable than they want to admit and is closer to Carlton’s valuation of him.

Theyll just keep him.

But they were in August .....gee, you won't admit your too skinny call on Mac Andrew was wrong .....or Caleb Windsor being too outside call, also wrong

If you highlight 120 players in the Draft as being good players ....it's like taking the field in a race 🤣 ....I need you to start putting your b...s on the line and pick 1-2 for our picks ;)

My point was Mac Andrew was rated at #20 when I made the call ....Curtin was always rated top 3, so why would I nominate Curtin, when he wasn't a realistic chance in Aug / Sept

Who have you got for us this year?

We weren't even close to having the pick for Windsor, just to get the pick for Curtin who went the pick after we had to give up pick 11, 15 and our 2024 2nd rounder with 17 coming back (Charlie Edwards)

Who have you got for us this year?
This years not really much of a challenge .....pick 8 to 15 is a great range to test yourself

I don't fall for the Sth Aust element when looking at players .....but I do like Draper ....and also Lalor

But that top 5 players, you seriously can't go wrong in a SuperDraft

If we walk away with Cumming, ANB, Peatling and a pick 4 midfielder - This offseason is a 10/10 IMO.
And no losses of note either, in terms of players or picks

A step up from

INS LISTED IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER:

Burgess, Chris

That is all.

Caleb Windsor literally played as an outside mid this year

Caleb Windsor literally played as an outside mid this year
Did he ? .....difference between Windsor and Wilson, who both had great years .....was Windsor always turns inside to come back thru the corridor .....Wilson ran the outside lane in most games

Windsor's possessions far more damaging
